At that point in time though it was probably a choice the board had to make, either Mancini or Bellamy. Considering Mancini's relationship to other volatile players, I think the fight between Mancini and Bellamy could've taken on epic proportions for what it's worth. Neither of the two seem to do things half-arsed.

I remember in Mancini's first game he brought Robinho off for Bellamy and Bellamy was given a standing ovation before he came on.
Great player he was.

I wasn't too excited about him joining us at the time because of his reputation elsewhere, but have to say he was generally excellent for us. Gave his all in every game, demanded the best from himself and his fellow players and played a key role in our recent journey to the top.

From what he's said lately, it seems he's keen to go into management, so wish him all the best for the future.

He had mellowed by the time he joined us but he was a proper twat before that. Good player though who did give his all and made a difference, always good to have him as an option from the bench and gave us some good memories.

Rebellion as in trying to manage his injuries to be fit enough to play football for City as opposed to being fit enough to run around twisting & stretching his injuries in front of the manager, because the manager knows whats best for him.

If Pellegrini had Bellamy at that stage, he would have just listened to him & worked to get him on the pitch, & had him eating out of his hand, not driven him out of the club wanting to punch his lights out.

Great pity Bellamy couldn't have been a few years younger & fitter when he came to us. Great signing. He would love it with this group now & he'd win us some big games.
