I wouldn't be surprised if that's the best performance of the whole tournament from Holland. From anyone. Stunning power and ambition. After the bad taste Brazil left in the mouth last night, this is just what the World Cup needed.

Very nice on the eye. Spain have had no control of the midfield at all and the fact that they've taken Torres over our very own is very telling. Negredo may have had a poor finish to the season but he's got twice as much to offer than Torres.

Spain are all about their play and attack from midefield. They just haven't got it here.

As anybody seen Iniesta?

I'll be happy if he's still there for the third place play off.

Have to agree about Negredo. They could really do with his physical approach. He offers so much more than Torres. It's a shame he had such a dip in form in the latter stages of the season, even so he still should have made the squad.

Got to say, I do love Robben as a player.

Always have. Can be a bit of a mard arse and dives for his day job but when he has it on him he is untouchable.

He must have become faster, not slower, over the last couple of years no? He's always had pace but this is a new gear.

I've been waiting for Spain to have this type of hammering for quite some time. Get in. Loathsome racist manager and quite a few idiots in that midfield of theirs.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

It's remarkable how long Spain & Barca, have got away with such fucking shite defenders. Now Xavi etc are that bit older, we are starting to find out what the defence is really made of.

When you look at RVP & Robben, then you look at that fucker Chelsea are signing... jeezus.

I'd be terrified if he was coming to City. Negredo is fucking miles better.

They were all saying how well it was working with Costa first half. Now they are saying how it doesn't work.

First half he was making the right runs but being left isolated. 2nd half he was still making the right runs, but they just gave up passing to him, or for that matter anyone in a Spain shirt
