The referees seem to think they have no discretion on degree of contact. Personally I hate the play acting which results. Muller ought to be ashamed of himself but I dare say his team mates are patting him on the back. I'm. sure he needs to be rushed to hospital for a scan to check for concussion.

They let off 99% of all players who did that last season. Only ones who went were proper head butts or incidents where it was made to appear as if there had been a proper head butt. Many weren't even a yellow card.

How often do Rooney or John Terry get reds for it ? Wio ? Suarez ? Dzeko, Zabba, Aguero, Hart etc etc ?

Loads of City players have done it, probably most of them. Only cuntish or grudge baring refs hand out reds for that.

It was a gesture. Muller did something very similar when he jumped up. That ref is a wanker.

It makes you wonder why Neymar wasn't sent off for his deliberate elbow.

He didn't just lean his head in to Muller, he made quite significant contact, it was a butt. I didn't realise until they showed the replays after the game. The referee got it spot on - with the exception of a lack of a yellow for Muller for the initial play acting.

Did it happen during the 2014 world cup? If not you might as well show something from the 1966 world cup to try and make your point. Whether you like it or not the rules are what they are and players have to play within them.

There will be players get away with stuff, just the same, depending on who it is, eg Neymar a few days ago.

Good example. And the foul on.Dempsey today.

Pepe would be a solid addition to city. End of story IMHO.
