I think we will struggle for a while if I'm honest - all depends if the main players click straight away.

I can imagine this happening.
If we don't start badly, the rest of the league has a big problem.

Chelsea are also the bookies favourite with us in 2nd so can't really say too much about it as it seems to back what the pundits think. Although I'd have though a settled squad like ours, with a few signings to back them up, would be thought of more.

Yesterday Chelsea were 15/8 and we were 5/2. Rags were next up at 5s.

It's hard to see a logical reason why rags have better odds than arse. Must be a lot of hopeful morons betting on them.

Only 659 trillion of them.

Normally I think we will win most games. But after our pre season and Sunday, it wouldn't shock me to lose both at Newcastle and to Dippers. Too many of our first eleven haven't kicked a ball in anger for a month. Not definitive I know, but surely they will be just a tad rusty, which I always thought the idea of pre season was to smooth out the rustiness. Fully see why in terms of injury but if we fall behind so soon it makes life hard like last season.
Bear in mind though my football tips are usually well wide of mark so it will probably be two wins and Pellegrini is a genius

If your football tips are well wide of the mark, then so are mine NB, as I've an unsettling feeling that we'll lose our two opening games and we'll then have some indifferent results in the four or five that follow those.
This would then leave us trailing the leading 'pack' for some time, so we're going to have to be patient until the later stages of the season when we'll need a really strong finish.

Bit like last season then?
I do think the league will ultimately come down to us or Chelsea and if Aguero and Jovetic remain fit for majority of season then we will be celebrating in May again
