Interesting thread. After Mr Cook made a bit of a tit of himself during the press conference earlier this week a lot of people said they don't care what people, and the media in particular, think of us.

I think this thread proves that we all do care what they say about us. As hard as we try we can't just ignore the fuclers.

Let's face it mate, without the media many would not hear, see, or read about a game so as I see it, they come hand-in-hand. I personally do care what they write about us, especially when it has a detrimental effect, like what happened on MoTD last night. You just can't ignore the mediaand hopefully the club will sit up and take notice of the imboceles by not allowing them anywhere near the club, starting with Stella Artios!!!

Glad to see MOTD 2 are carrying on the biased bullshit... tonight they showed the Arsenal v Villa highlights after which Wenger was interviewed and wether he considered Villa to be the main contenders for 4th spot - Wenger then went on to say that he thought Villa, Spurs, Fulham and us would all be in with a shout... cut back to Studio and Adrian Chiles put the question to Lee Dixon and Les Ferdinande... "so do you think Spurs and Fulham have a chance of breaking the top 4?" No fucking mention of us... what a bunch of twats!

I just can't believe that any of you take any notice of this shit.
Brand image may be important to our owners in their attempts to market us as a global name but in football terms, it is wholly meaningless. MOTD and the rest of the media have a job to do, sell their product, and they use speculation, sensationalism and often downright lies to do so. I agree it is wrong but it will never change a scoreline nor define our finishing position.

Their manufactured shite will all be forgotten quite quickly as soon as they find another target to prey on and the term "yetserday's chip paper" is relevant here.

If any of you are suprised by the rantings of the rag media mafia...I am suprised you thought it would be any different.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

What I don't get is why other players out of form don't get this treatment, yes Robinho was expensive but then this player was around the same price too....

Robinho (played predominantly as a left winger)

I just watched it and didn't really think Shearer said anything out of turn. he said the Les sacking was a disgrace but I think many here agree with him on that.

The constant topic about the media being 'against us' is getting really tiresome now.

I think they repeated the mention of Fulham in surprise. They haven't really been that talked about in those terms.

if they say anything negative about that they will just end up looking foolish. great on the attack, solid as hell in defence. if lee dicko is on he should be loving it.

I think it proves that City fans are never happy unless they have something to moan about
