Although Benitez has the piss taken out of him for zonal marking I've read quite a few sources that it's actually the best way to mark. If each player does his job it's almost impossible to score. Maybe Benitez' team lacks discipline, unlike ours these days *touches 9 planks of wood*

Yeah, I'm ready to give it a chance
The fact is, when its supposed to be man for man marking, more often than not our defenders have 'lost their man'
In this case, as long as we keep our discipline, and not panic, we'll know who the ball is directed to, and then attack the problem area.
And I just can't praise enough the work Mancini has done with our defence, in such a short space of time.

He really is up for this job: he's got a point to prove, as well

Nah mate he loves yellow cards he gets one in nearly every match he plays if he doesn't get one i'm more shocked than when he does these days.
As for the match there best player is that Henry guy he is tearing our midfield apart breaking up our play.

We look solid at the back. I like this new 'business as usual' outlook against shit teams.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Bit of food for thought, Iweloumo was winning an awful lot in the air at the start, I'm sure McCarthy will have noticed and we might see more of the same in the 2nd half. Also as Sky Sports keep mentioning, our right is a bit bare with Ireland dropping in.
So far, so good though.

Their left back looks seriously overweight: he'll run out of puff by the 70th minute, at the latest
He certainly doesn't have the pace

"No"

We´ve perked up since my complaint ;) A lot better but 2 things concern me - still too anxious on the ball thus first touch has let us down when we´ve had possibilities to break quickly , and Zabs on the left - one more rush of blood and he´ll leave us in the poop AGAIN! We need a 2nd goal asap then I believe we´ll really open them up

That's just one of his clueless remarks and also the shit he came out with after the goal. Talking about it was pure luck and is that what Mancini needs to succeed at City? Is he the lucky manager? I was like WTF??? Rag licking cunt!

We definitely need a second goal soon. I feel way too nervous watching this. We look quite solid and composed but still...

Shame Bellamy missed his chance.

To be fair he said 'lucky and good manager'

What a difference having a manager who isn't afraid to make the call and actually change the system. And make it work.

the commentator far more than Gray: the commentator isn't missing a trick to get at the owners, Robinho, the sacking, questioning Bellamy's statement, etc, etc

Andy Gray is a Wolves legend. Dont blame him at all but should he really be commenting on a Wolves game?

Previously once we went two nil up, you'd still be sweating from then until the final whistle

You're wrong mate, he is a bit part player and not worth the money we paid for him. I read that somewhere...
