*** Saints v City - Official Match Thread ***

Postby AG7 » Sun Nov 30, 2014 9:08 am

All of you lazy cunts ... no Next thread and not even a matchday thread yet?

It's been a perfect week so far ... first a win over Swansea then that mid-week morale booster and now Chelsea have dropped two points last night ... Beat the saints and get to the second spot in the table ... and only six off the top.

Dzeko, Silva and Kolarov are still out ... everyone else available ... Will Hart keep his place or will Willy come in for a game or two with another midweek game coming on Wed (Sunderland away) and then we play again on Sat (Everton home) ... before Roma away, so all coming thick and fast now.

I'd go with ...

Hart
Zabba - Komps - Demi - Clichy
Yaya - Ferna
Navas - Nasri - Milner
Aguero

C'mon City!

I did start a 'Next' thread but soon deleted it as their was another thread very similar from CuteMancs.

Anyway, Come On The Blues!!! I'll be travelling to the UK during the game so will hopefully get it on the tranny.

A tough week where all but Blues were banking on us falling apart. A score today will put us in the right frame of mind going into this run of games and the confidence gained should see us start pushing the Chav's, who've had it easy so far.

2nd by the end of play today would be a real boost, for all of us.

Lucky you posted that then, to address the karma. What happened, you get up late ;-)

PS. Who's the ref?

Edit: Mike Jones from Chester with Phil Dowd the 4th official.

Just read the Beebs preview and it looks like the writer very much wants a Saints win. In fact, we hardly get a mention and when we do it's all about the money and our 'One Man Team'.

Ah! A pre match thread. Excellent. The Saints were nt that impressive on Monday so I'm feeling confident, though that will fade as kick off approaches. I'm going for the same back 5 as AG7 but prefer a midfield/forward line of:

Fern 1 Fern 2
Navas Yaya Nasri
Aguero
I think we can over power them with this. Fingers crossed. Come on City!

City side today is Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy; Fernandinho, Toure; Navas, Jovetic, Nasri; Aguero.

I don't understand why he has not selected Milner again, does Pellegrini not learn from QPR away?? Aside from that the side is as expected - can understand Mangala playing as he did ok on Tuesday and has more pace to cope with Saints attack.

Pleased to see Jovetic starting and hopefully developing a partnership with Aguero. As ever everything depends on how the attacking players play when we haven't got the ball. If that side of our game doesn't work we'll face the same old problem with Fernadinho left on his own coping in central midfield.

Two good omens for today, it's Nige de Jong's 30th birthday and it is Kun's 100th Prem appearance.

Today will be a good day to judge whether the Count or the fans know best. Cos to me, and I suspect a lot of others, that team looks ludicrously lightweight and full of players, Nasri, Navas, and Fernandinho whose heads are dropping before they get on the pitch. The count is picking an attacking team with no thought of how to keep the game tight.Imo, totally underestimating the opposition. Again. So, if we win it will be hats doffed .But....

Stubborn F**ker again.

No Jimmy, pointless Navas.

These are a very good team at home not hopeful after seeing that team.

This. Can't believe he's playing Nasri and Navas away from home. Milner should be in for one of them.

I call them that based on the chronological order in which they signed for us. Don't know if I invented it, it's probs just one of them things several people do.
