Current Injury List

Postby Goaters 103 » Mon Dec 01, 2014 11:01 am

Apologies if this info is listed elsewhere, but do we have anything definitive on when Silva, Kolarov and Dzeko may be fit and playing again?

All 3 have been gone for a while now and with suspensions and Vinnys annual breakdown we need all the bodies we can get. The Roma game upcoming especially needs Silva if we can have him for that? Anyone seen any updates or info?

At this stage I'm beginning to think Nastasic doesn't HAVE an injured muscle...
He fucking IS an injured muscle.

It was good to have a proper update on the injury situation today from MP. In short:

Kolarov - Return date - A secret.
Silva - Return date - A secret
Dzeko - Return date - A secret
Kompany - Awaiting scan.

I hope that's helpful for anyone who missed today's update.

Judging by the amount of Youtube videos Kolarov is knocking out, he cant be that far away unless he reinjured himself bumping into a TV camera.

Make that Pozo. Pellegrini says Jovetic may also be out for a couple of weeks. A very minor muscle problem and its two weeks. FFS. Yaya up front anyone?

Where Dzeko & Kompany are concerned, we are right back where we were now at square 1. Bollocks.

I don't think we will see Jovetic for a while. When we signed him I remember reading he had a reputation in Italy for having a low pain threshold. He can't help being injured but it's difficult to treat his injurirs as they don't seem to show up on scans.

If the striker injuries problems continues we might have to ask the goat if he will move down from the commentary box and put the boots back.

Merson once made an unusually intelligent comment about Jovetic. He said that he appeared to be a player who wanted to feel perfect before he played. Merson commented that professional footballers usually played with a niggle here or there and got on with it. Of course you don't want a minor injury to get much worse but ultimately City is not a charity. If Jovetic continually refuses to play with nothing obvious wrong with him we'll have to ship him out. It's a pity because he's a very good intelligent player but Pellegrini and the medical staff somehow have to get more playing time out of him. We really need him now. Come on Jojo get those playing boots on and play! That's what we bought you for.

Our medical team or doing wrong not on time ok or somebody hurrying this players on pitch . We all saw how Edin is not nearly fit to be on pitch an nearly all game, but ok it was big one , But now we have 3 striker out for a fer weeks Aguero might be longer then that , yes 4 striker is what we need ,one more and Bob was right on number,

With respect, Merson wouldn't know Jovetic if he was sat next to him for 3 hours on a train, & will have had no fucking idea who he was before he signed for City, & probably hasn't even bothered looking up who he is, or what he's done previously, other than snippets he can remember that Jeff Stelling told him while he was putting on his makeup, whilst recovering from a night on the screaming piss & half a ton of cocaine.

Jovetic, unfortunately, seems prone to injury & it may put an end to his City career.

Merson, knows fuck all about anything.

As a poster higher up said Jovetic had a reputation for having a low pain threshold in Italy. Merson was making a reasonable point that professional players- and he was one even if he is a pisshead now- have to tolerate minor aches and pains and get on with it. If a player continually refuses to play when there doesn't seem to be much wrong with him a decision has to be made. It's a pity because I'm a great fan of Jovetic and I'm always pleased on the rare occasions he's on the starting sheet.

Well if that was the case, how would Pellegrini be able to give estimates on when he might come back ?

The medical staff think his 'pain threshold' will improve in about two weeks ?
