Of course, he is a talented player and excellent set piece taker, but I am not convinced with him in defence, I think he needs a move forward, even in the centre(Barry's position) I think he could do very well. I think being Garrido is technically gifted that he has struck a chord with Mancho who appriciates technical players more than athletes.

I never understood why the previous manager just ignored Garrido, he has never let us down and has a lot to offer. Mancini has obviously seen something in training from him that he likes. A bit of belief can make a hell of a diffence.

He was terrible at defending but great at going forward. Time may have changed him or maybe just a new manager.

I did see him going, and staying, a bit farher forward than I would have liked
Though he did provide a wonderful low cross into the box.

But no doubt Mancini will set him to rights on that, if he gives him a start at left-back.

But Micah Richards still gave me enough worrisome moments to convince me that Mancini still has his work cut out on that particular area

He was better than Bridge going forward and about the same (probably a bit worse) as Bridge defending.
Didn't deserve to be fucled off completely anyway, would've been a good player for us on the bench.

Well chuffed for him. Superb freekick and solid otherwise. I don't know why Sylvinho was picked ahead of him? Experience maybe? He's still relatively young and he should be able to improve defensively, if that's still a problem. He certainly didn't do anything wrong today, even put in a great challenge in the end.

Cant see any reason why he wont play a few games at more tricky away games where the manager decides to play a 4-4-2 to give us a bit more solidity and stability in midfield.

Unfortunately, he runs slower than old people fuck, which is the biggest drawback to him playing often imo

Remember Sven playing 2 LBs with Bridge and Cole for England to give some solidity down the left, although he abandoned it when he realised Bridge wasnt very good.

Me too, I remember last season "the previous manager" (I like that !) playing Mica at left back in one match which was a disaster when he had Gaz available. Blows the mind !!

I am chuffed to see him back. Yes he wasn't perfect but then again is Bridge??

Not tonight and not when he came on on Saturday. He has been part of a solid back 4 in the last 2 games.

Tonights weak link in the back 4 was Zabba once he got a yellow card. Mancho moved him out of there before the hour mark. Zabs has a tendency to jump into tackles. Played well also when he slid out right. Great stuff all round

HE MADE ONE MISTAKE TONIGHT THAT NEARLY COST US A GOAL - MANCINI WENT FUCKING BALLISTIC AT HIM.
IT WAS THE ONE WHERE HE TRIED TO TURN 180 DEGRESS HUGGING THE BYLINE AND LOST THE BALL........

I DONT THINK HE WILL DO THAT AGAIN ESPECIALLY HAVING HIS EARS BIRNT BY MANCI- BUT YES, HE DID PLAY WELL OVERALL AND CARRIED ON FROM THE OTHER DAY.
