Wilfred Bony - possible January Signing

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Sue Perb; Do you work in a primary school by any chance ?

Bony in means Dzeko or Jovetic out imo.

If that's what the Count wants, then so be it. Wonder if Jovetic may get flirted from the Champs Lg squad.

This may sound spastic but for me it's jayko who stays and Jojo who goes. Not even a hard decision.

While big Ed is more of a poacher type, box type of player, Bony looks more like a Drogbaesque type of player or like Tevez. Very powerfull, a player that seeks contact and is not afraid to put his leg on the line when is needed.

This. Exactly.

Decent.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Jovetic has not fit into the side, in the role I think he has been signed for. Unless he steps it up very quickly, his position is on the line I think. Let himself down on Sunday. Not really his fault, but still, he was completely outclassed as a striker by James Milner. Dzeko is proven, he isn't.

Didn't do himself any favours at all on Sunday & needs some big performances.

whilst they may have differences - dzeko and bony are clearly the two most similar of the four. I can't think of a trait that dzeko has that bony doesn't have.

No not in a primary school, actually special needs - but accept your inference/the point lolz. I take it you were either dazzled or irritated by the various !

Do we necessary have to 'swap' a forward for a forward?

Assume if we reduce the squad by 1 player, regardless of who, we'll comply with the conditions of our FFP restrictions or maybe we can only have 4 designated strikers?

In which case my vote goes to Edin, based on past performances!

Hope it'll be sorted by the morning?

It would seem odd to spend 30 mil on a player in Jan, then leave him out of the Champs Lg squad.

Sound assumption Mr. Hughes, I like your logic here!

SSN - again just reporting MCFC & Swansea in advanced talks over Bony, in a deal that could be worth £30m.

Good heavens. We're all pretty spoiled. Looks like we're going to sign the League's top scorer and we're turning up our nose. I think he would be a damn good replacement for Negredo and we need four. I think Bony is a very different player to Dzeko and Jovetic is the one at risk if he doesn't stay fit and deliver for the rest of the season.

Jayko Boner And Aguero. Real Madrid would jism themselves with that forward line.

Options.

wonder where Iheanacho fits in assuming we get him. If Bony comes, which I am not convinced of ,someone will be leaving even if it's in the summer
