Ahhh the name Beanie gives me flashbacks of getting hammered by Wigan and not scoring for 3000 years, bad times bad times.

I voted fourth spot. But just because the poll limits me to one choice, because I believe in reality we will get fourth (or better), Carling Cup, and also the FA Cup. What a season, eh? :D

Got to be winning the League Cup for me.

At start of season i would have been happy with a top 6 finish and we look on target to get that and a trophy to end our drought would whet the appetite of the players for more, in a way that finishing 4th couldn't do.

If we qualified for the champs league every big player would come and I think we'd win a cup next year (and probably every fucking year after that) as well as being in the running for the PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE and CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TITLE.

Have you all lost your fucking minds??? Shit will start to hit the fan if we don't get into the champs league fast on a number of fronts, but you reckon we need a cup NOW as a priority.

I really can't believe this.

I agree with YOU 110 % as I stood on the same argument since ever: indeed is the only logical point.
On the other hand, I may understand and respecct Mates who go for the pride of soonest silverware to be waved on the faces of the facking lobbies which stand against the CITY as well as shown to the new generations of Citizens. A little more myopic sightseen but a very understandable an respectable one.

What I'd like to point out here is that this debate luckily appears, on my modest opinion, to be everyday more an academic exercise, because the manager is wise, the team rooster is good (providing that we gets just a solid CB to face the rags's 2 legs fixture that is going to be a very tought one from all point of view) so that I frankly don't see any considered reason why can't get both goals.

I didn't know we had a team rooster! The new Beanie?

My beloved Language Teacher and Trainer: insofar my poor handling of English language is concerned, when I type "team rooster", I mean the list of players available to be lined-up according with league regulation.
If I am mistaken on such meaning, corrections from You first and anybody's are most welcome...:-)

your thinking of roster, mate.

agree entirely - champions league qualification is FAR, FAR more important than a trip to Wembley this season (especially for the league frickin cup) - the short sightedness is staggering

Are you lot taking the piss?

What...you think we are just going to stroll into the Champions league and win it after having virtually no top international experience in how many years?

A pot in the hand this season INSTEAD of champions league qualification... That's what you want?!!!

The carling cup does not attract the players we need to become a top club. However, champions league qualification does. And once those players come we'll have plenty of cups. However, every season that passes with us being the richest club in the world with no champions league football, pressure will build and our very future as a potentially top club will be under threat.

That is a real concern.

Please have a good think about that and answer again mate.

I honestly find this poll baffling.

Well this is the thing - I think we'll win the cup anyway, but if its a case of having to choose it would be mental to potentially sacrifice the dream to have a banner taken down the swamp and win a cup that spurs won the other season under that disaster Ramos.

That's the point, DAB: as I tried to shout just too many times.
Surprisingly, it appears as simple as hard to understand for lot of folks.

However and again, luckily the debate appears every day more an accademic one as I am every day more convinced that we may get both.

Champions League...if necessary could be gained next year...it's not a fucking competition to see how fast we can progress...this game is played for trophies...not fucking league positions
