to be 19 and have a nine minute montage of great goals is something pretty special. would love him to come here, but also a bit skeptical about this because from the press point of view its a rumour i expected so won't be creaming too much yet (though he is keeping robinho out of the team on Fifa ha ha!)

I wouldn't compare him to Sturridge, the talent level is different. More like Van Persie, who has always had the skill but wasn't really a center forward till this year, Balotelli is a couple of years away from being a star, in my opinion. He has the chance to become a free scoring highlight machine, who helps his team win games, or he could be a super talented nut job who wastes his immense talent but is worth the risk for a mid table team. I think he will end up in the same sentence as tranaldo, scores with both feet, decent in the air, great free kick, ego the size of a country. But he has to work in training in order to fulfill his potential, and the next couple of years will decide whether he does that. I would give him a shot if Mancini thinks he can mold him into a star, but if he has any doubts then take a pass. Either this window or the summer are probably the only time he could be bought for under 30 mil euros.

He looks good on Youtube but has he ever scored 8 goals in a match?

Good post, sums up my feelings on the situation aswell, there's no doubt that he can be a superstar and if Mancio thinks he's the one to turn him into that star i'll back him all the way.

There's video evidence of racist chants against him from the Juventini

Obviously Balotelli's a volatile player but I think taking him out of Italy and some of the idiot spectators may help him calm down. He's a good player from what I've seen but whether we need another striker or whether we need another discussion centred around a nothing news story are both questionable.

Well he's first of all a striker but he can play on the wing too, both left and right. I dare to say he's even deadlier when moving in from wide thanks to his pace and physical strenght, and dribbling ability.
