Classy from Frank

Frank went out of his way last night to swap shirts with 17 year old Stoke debutant Ollie Shenton who lost his mother to cancer two weeks ago. Class.

Don't know what he'll do with that. It won't fit him.

I thought it was faintly ridiculous to be honest. He was only on the field 5 seconds.

This had tears in his eyes, for
Something that cost stoke nothing, it made that kids dream come true at a time when he probably needed it.
Tracking back is overrated.

Classy move from Hughes to give him his very brief moment in the spotlight too - obviously the kid isn't premier league level yet but he got a few seconds on the pitch against the defending Champions (when the match was lost to them) to give him a positive boost when he needs it most.
The picture of him grinning from ear to ear when he was about to come on said it all for me. (I wouldn't be surprised if Stoke had asked Lampard or City to swap shirts with him either).

I wouldn't be surprised if Frank did it off his own back and had a word with the lad too. Frank was affected by his Mums death a few years back, you could see what she meant to him and a few words from him would go a long way.

Have to admit, I didn't know the circumstances behind the Oliver Shenton story. It was only two days since his mother's funeral and Peter Crouch, let Lampard know before the match of what had happened, according to reports.
