The thing that Sam deserves credit for is that the weekend apart, we've been dismantled in a proper fashion only 3 or 4 times this season. Given that two of those games were at Stamford Bridge and the graveyard of our aspirations, Anfield, that frankly is the best you're going to get from our disjointed squad, made to look better by a judicious loan in or two.

Sam's the same as Pulis in many ways, principal among them he's never been relegated from the top flight. His teams have still by and large still been in place when they have gone down, which sends an ambiguous message, I suppose. But he's not shy of expressing an opinion and of standing up for himself. And once in a while he can do a number on another team

I'm actually not that fond of him as a personality. But he's a British coach who says his piece. And, if he can wind up that Emperor in old clothes down the road at whatever the Dutch is for 'the swamp', where's the real harm in it?

I have absolutely no problem with him winding anyone up. Especially anyone over at the swamp. He can be quite funny. But the word sophisticated, doesn't come to mind when hearing his name. He strikes me as more of a muck and bullets, no frills kind of guy.
I hope he gets The Hammers higher up the league than The Rags anyway.

Hey Walmai, my issue is not with Sam but with any manager who comes out with such stupid nonsense, I dont see the need to do it, he is having a good season. Any idiot who comes out and spouts stuff like that is bound to be open to abuse. I know Pellegrini wouldn't say it, but Maybe Mancini had it in him to say stuff like this and I would have given him the same treatment, even if he was managing my team, its just ridiculous. If its just another one of his put me on the back pages quips, then I would suggest he doesn't need to do this as it seems he has plenty of work to do with getting the fans onside after seeing the abuse being spouted in his direction at West Brom.

Yeah, he's not a good fit at our club, although I don't only blame him for that.

And the best manager is the one who doesn't play the media game at all. I'll definitely give you that.

I don't like the fat cunt & I like West Ham, so I'd prefer he was somewhere else. Imo, he's fucked up a great chance to win the cup as well. West Brom now have a decent chance. West Ham are better.

It was funny that he wound up Turtlehead & well done, but it just makes it even more annoying how he has sat there quietly sucking Ferguson's dick for all these years, when working at various clubs, & there were many occasions he could & should have been having a go at Ferguson, & his team. Now he sees a 'foreigner' in charge & not part of his little clique, so he has a go. He was the same with Mancini & was mouthing of about Pellegrini's tactics when they played City.

He's a big head who likes to take credit for everything when it goes right, but it's always down to something else when it goes wrong.

Yes, one the reasons I was a little unsure about his initial appointment was his 'relationship' with Taggart.

However, whatever happened this weekend, I find it difficult to too heavily blame him in isolation. We had a pair of centre backs unavailable and have in recent years always struggled against Pulis.

And, having been at Ashton Gate, to witness one of the standard performances we turn in against lower league opposition, we were lucky to emerge from that game without a replay.

Sam and West Ham are not a good cup combination.

I don't think you can criticise BFS because of what he does for teams that you'd think would struggle. Given time he can really do something and has a keen eye for a bargain. When I look back at our era before the takeover, BFS would be the sort of manager that I'd want to see in the seat, knowing that he'd assemble a team who could compete.

I've met him on a few occasions and he's a thoroughly entertaining bloke who has his own opinions. Pity he seems to fall apart against the Rags but then again, who doesn't?

I'd say that where the Hammers have come from he's done a fantastic job and it's only the idiots who don't understand exactly what he's done for their club. You know the ones, 'We only play beautiful football', a fallacy often trotted out by those that don't really understand the game.

Alladyce is a fat cunt who is full of shit . West Ham is a quality football club with diehard quality fans , always has been ! West Ham FC doesn't need him as manager but sadly for West Ham FC it also has bell ends for owners , not a good situation imho..

Hope they finish above the rags and both Alladyce and the owners both fuck off for the fans and the clubs sake .

On the owners I totally agree. I wonder what are the thoughts of fans on their move to the new stadium?

Boleyn Ground is a proper football ground, the new one will kill the atmosphere much like the Maine Road to the CoMS did for us. It's going to be a sad day when I have to turn the telly up to hear Forever Blowing Bubbles before a hammers game.

Obviously we don't know what goes on behind the scenese, but this is fucking crazy if true.

West Ham are having a great season in the league, ffs, look at who's above them. Out of that lot, only Southampton are arguably punching above their weight, and every other team spends hundred of millions on players.

He is in the best league position anybody could reasonably expect with the resources they have, and whilst the fans have never taken to him, he is the best manager they've had in donkeys years.

Fucking worlds gone mad!

If the club are moving to a bigger ground, will have more money to spend, & the fans don't much care for him, then why give him a new deal now ?

They are not allowed to advance themselves & the only way they can stay in the top 8 in the future is with a kick & run, set piece expert, manager ?

They just have to know their place ?

Unfortunately the small amount of extra cash from matchday revenue, still won't put a dent in the buying power of the teams above them. They will still need a manager adept at punching above his weight, and for all his faults, there aren't many better than the fat cunt.

Clearly there is a perception issue amongst the fans, and it's difficult for the owners to turn a blind eye to that. Unless the owners have also had a falling out with him, the owners should be doing what's best for the club, not necessarily what the fans think.

As for 'kick and rush', I'm sure Walmai will correct me if wrong, but looking at West Ham's performances objectively (I've probably seen half a dozen this year), he actually has them playing decent football mixed in with a pragmatic approach to winning games in a very similar way to the whining Portuguese twat down the road.

Well the decent football bit, for me, has come when the ball occasionally lands at the feet of the attacking unit, & they pass it to each other for a few seconds. Graham Taylor's Watford & Aston Villa played bits of good football too when John Barnes or David Platt were involved.

Mostly it's still down the channels or straight down the middle, set pieces, & taking football back 25 years.

It's a matter of whether they think they can find a manager who can successfully play modern football & then use the new tv money to pick up a few more better quality players. So far it's worked for Spurs, Southampton & even Liverpool. We take the piss out of Rogers, but does anyone really believe Fat Sam would have them in the same shape ?

They'd be 'difficult to beat' Liverpool but occasionally get fucking mullered.
