They won't be that arsed, they'll probably stroll it in the 2nd leg. So predictable with the current set-up of the CL.

playing with fire on the away goals rule though.

I was thinking the same. I hope the ref in our game is as lenient, but doubt it. Chelsea are a dreadfully cynical team. It really is win at any cost. The amount they got away with tonight. Maybe because it's PSG? I don't think any team would get away with as much against Barca.

Did anyone else hear the commentator after Hazard yet again fell over for a foul
"Hazard the Premierships most fouled player, but has to be said he is One of the bravest on the ball"

Thought Veratti looked a very decent player. He's only 22 years old and very composed. A few like that coming through the ranks would be nice.

Chelsea got the result they were after; Matuidi excellent, and a key save by Courtois at the end. Ibrahimovic did what he always seems to do when faced with Prem Lge teams, ie very little.

Am convinced we'd have got gubbed 3-1 there tonight, but then again maybe Im being pessimistic. PSG looked far better 2nd half.

Had £25 on there to be a goal anytime in the game. Bastard

Real 1-0 up against a very poor Schalke.
Ronaldo's first goal in a month. Could be 2 or 3. Looks very easy so far.

Schalke set up like most teams that come to the Etihad and they're at home and a goal down. It's strange, but Real are just knocking it about with little end product.
Isco is a very decent player though, most good things are coming through him.
Bale looks a bit hit and miss.

Schalke clattered the crossbar. Then scuffed the rebound. Should have been 1-1.
This game needed that. I was getting bored.

Game over. What a goal by Marcelo after good work by Ronaldo.

Well 2-0 at a canter. Real are pretty much through.

Very quiet tonight. Europa League on, Soriano & Pellers have a bit of a barny, allegedly, and the Rags are still scum. But still quiet.

What's that about Soriano and Pellers? That's news to me.

And now Mario pisses Sturridge off by taking the penalty. And he scores.

Looks like the Celtic v Inter game was a cracker in the first half. 3-2 to Mancini's Inter and Celtic equalise in extra time with the one and only Jon Guidetti leaving it all square. Not Mancini like, more Hughes, but must've been entertaining.

Well done, Pellegrini.

And Liverpool get a late penalty to win a game in Europe. Who'd have thunk it.

There's an old joke dating back to when the dippers won the league and in Europe on a regular basis. It goes: you are the ref, Liverpool are drawing nil-nil and there is less than 10 minutes of the game left. Do you a) award Liverpool a penalty b) award Liverpool two penalties c) award Liverpool three penalties e) what happened to d)?.

Love Peter Reid, and love the slapped arses of Stevie Me & Strachan. Mario was the best person to take that, Brenda was wrong and so was Starfish. Henderson wasn't confident, you could see that, and proved by the way he just walked away when Mario took the ball off him. Henderson was happy.

PS. Brenda is a cunt.

He has scored something like 23 of 24 penalties taken.
