Chelsea are very good in possession. We just can't get the ball off them and can't keep it for long enough on the occasions that we do

This is what I was talking about with keepers being told to be brave and make passes, problem being at the min his quality of passing isn't great and it's inviting pressure onto the team. They need to get a hold of the ball and retain a bit of control and possession.

So it looks like not working hard to win the ball back is a club wide policy

Enjoying the game. Some of bad habits of first team look apparent in youngsters... Not pressing enough. Chelsea left back Da Silva I think is impressive. Chelsea look stronger don't know if much difference in ages in the teams

Sad to say, but our lot look like boys against men. Not just being out muscled. A lot of individuals making poor decisions and the passing just isn't getting going.
You can see we have some talent though.
Hopefully they get their game going in the second half.

They're so much bigger than us. They don't lack quality either tbf. Great turn of pace by Nemane to catch an overhit pass by Garcia but couldn't find a blue shirt. This is hard pounding I'm afraid.

Some of his passing may have been off but he's calm and composed with the ball and tries to find players with all kinds of different passes - apart from the long punt out of touch.
He's only 16 too

Oh I know what will be a good idea - let's cut to the tuba being played for a few minutes - sod the live action on the pitch. They'll love that.

Someone at the game needs to nut ITV's producer for me.

In general I like the way the game is allowed flow in U18's games I've seen, but I think the ref has been quite lenient to Chelsea. He's not given us much.
