Same, the squad needs some first 11 freshening up.

Hopefully the club back him for some marquee signings this summer. Pogba and Bale and we close the gap on Chelsea right there.

I agree - deserves another season
I do want to see a better class of player come in and some of the dross out this window though

Not a chance. I want him to take a good crack next season with some new players. He deserves that. BUT he needs to blood some youngsters too.

Cheers

First choice would be to see him stay, a freshening up of the squad, with a couple of top class signings. A better emphasis on youth needs to be implemented but he deserves the next season for my money.

If we got Pep though I wouldn't be disappointed too greatly.

Can someone do a simple yes/no poll?

Remove all of the peripheral issues of pep being available, Vieira, etc and strip it down to a simple yes/no, I wonder just how many actually want him to go based on this season.

I think the satisfometer is showing a swing away from satisfied at the moment, but I don't think it tells the whole story, as I personally am dissatisfied for a number of reasons, but would like to see him get one more go with a new batch of talent - and that would involve tricky getting on his fucking game more than pellers, given we've done little of note in the market since signing aguero 4 years ago.

I think the majority do not want him sacked, they want him to have another season with at least two - three top calibre players brought in (a lot easier said than done), if by end of September and things are not going well, then the knives will be out......

I don't. But I would reluctantly do it if Pep was a definite replacement.

Otherwise I'd rather have him than the likely alternatives. I think he's been fine so far.

This is probably the board's dilemma.

If we can assume that Guardiola is coming either this summer or next summer, if we stick with him and it's going tits up early doors, the board really are committed to keeping him and riding it out, or throwing Vieira in there which the causes an additional complication if he does well.

I think with a squad refresh the situation won't happen, but of course it's a possibility

Thinking about pep today and it made me wonder outside of jose is there anyone who really gurantees trophies?

Pep has had two of the best sides of the Last decade. It would be a bigger shock if he hadn't won anything. Nobody else springs to mind as someone you just know will win stuff. Most top names I can think of built a club from nearly there the top. Not many simply come in and win no matter where it may be.

For that reason I don't want a change this season. Just my two cents

i think there are some clubs right now who can guarantee some trophies...Jose was trophyless last season and won the double this season. That's so 2014. Been there, done that. He's just chasing City. :)

Juve, Madrid, Barca, Munich are the clubs who can sign up for a trophy of some sort in August and pretty much guarantee one.

everything else is down to the squad assembled and the style coupled with a pinch or two of luck.

You or Patrick Vieira could manage the above four teams to a trophy every year, easy peasy for the next 3-5 years. No problemo, compadre.

I struggled a bit as i like Anchovies a lot and during our shite spring i wanted a revolution of some sort. I've cooled my jets now and am more reasonable. Winning a few matches does that for us i suppose. The plan for me now...has to be Count plus Patrick in a coupla seasons OR Pep. Nothing else makes sense. And i prefer the form option because I think Patrick can be an even bigger draw than Pep just because of his storied career splashed on the front page. These kids nowadays watched him like a hero in his heyday. You can bet the best of the best will sign up to play for him.

cheers

I wouldn't look to sack any manager unless there was a better replacement lined up.

Unfortunately, I expect if he stays, next season we will be fighting for top four at the end of the season, rather than the title.

It's time to admit defeat on anchovies. It's up there with twos for nickname strength.

What about if we sign paddy to the top job and he's clueless? We'd get one window maybe of ppl wanting to come and that's not guranteed. Footballers and agents and parents are greedy these days, I honestly don't get where this notion of them signing to play for paddy v comes from. Look at the hazard saga, that's a modern footballer. Which players do we think are dying to come play for him as opposed to wanting cash and glory?

I cant believe so many posters are putting hopes in PV. With no management experience, it would be a huge gamble.

Would be fine by me to give Pellegrini another season , off load a couple of bad apples and bone idle cunts sign a marque player or two and who knows Pellegrini could have the last laugh and prove his critics wrong . The guy has class and dignity in abundance !
