Pep has had two of the best sides of the Last decade. It would be a bigger shock if he hadn't won anything. Nobody else springs to mind as someone you just know will win stuff. Most top names I can think of built a club from nearly there the top. Not many simply come in and win no matter where it may be.
For that reason I don't want a change this season. Just my two cents
i think there are some clubs right now who can guarantee some trophies...Jose was trophyless last season and won the double this season. That's so 2014. Been there, done that. He's just chasing City. :)
Juve, Madrid, Barca, Munich are the clubs who can sign up for a trophy of some sort in August and pretty much guarantee one.
everything else is down to the squad assembled and the style coupled with a pinch or two of luck.
You or Patrick Vieira could manage the above four teams to a trophy every year, easy peasy for the next 3-5 years. No problemo, compadre.
I struggled a bit as i like Anchovies a lot and during our shite spring i wanted a revolution of some sort. I've cooled my jets now and am more reasonable. Winning a few matches does that for us i suppose. The plan for me now...has to be Count plus Patrick in a coupla seasons OR Pep. Nothing else makes sense. And i prefer the form option because I think Patrick can be an even bigger draw than Pep just because of his storied career splashed on the front page. These kids nowadays watched him like a hero in his heyday. You can bet the best of the best will sign up to play for him.
cheers
It's time to admit defeat on anchovies. It's up there with twos for nickname strength.
What about if we sign paddy to the top job and he's clueless? We'd get one window maybe of ppl wanting to come and that's not guranteed. Footballers and agents and parents are greedy these days, I honestly don't get where this notion of them signing to play for paddy v comes from. Look at the hazard saga, that's a modern footballer. Which players do we think are dying to come play for him as opposed to wanting cash and glory?

It's anchovies. Stop fighting me.
The hazard sitch was his pops looking for a payday and us saying no, allegedly.
Paddy isn't some insane risk dude. He's going to be an amazing manager. I can feel it. Agree to disagree and fuck off on the topic?
Cheers

I like him as a manager.

And imo whether the Count will leave the club or be given another job, perhaps in his part of the world. I have no evidence for that other than just the fact that he seems to me, to be part of the decision making team, rather than just a football manager. I just get the feeling he has been in on this from the start.

Bit of a break down of the signings made by Txiki as well, and the dealings with agents/3rd party ownerships involved.

Not a bad article, no gratuitous slagging us off. I can't say I would enjoy negotiating with that maze of agents.

£42m for Mangala, that's absolute stupid if true, Bayern only paid €26m for Benatia who we were also in for (less than half!!) However, the guardian are not know for truthful journalism as they employ Jamie nobhead Jackson.
It is a very detailed breakdown of fees though.
The arrival of Bony takes City’s spending during the winter and summer windows to £83million, with the full fee for Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala now being confirmed as £42million, rather than the £32m reported by the club at the time of his arrival.
