Interestingly guarded comment Mr Nool, particularly as it's still excitingly 2-1 after 40 minutes, with all to play for.
I think I'm going to do a 'Phips' and immerse myself fully in Swedish football (rather than Dortmund and German football) until I become expertly authoritative on that subject, or not as the case may be..............
Well at least Swedish football has the advantage of being played during the summer (the season runs spring to autumn), so it can be a good cure for your City abstinence.
Which teams are the Swedish equivalents of the Scum, Arsenal, Liverpool etc....ones that ordinary fans all hate ??
PS It's still 2-1 at half time, by the way.
IFK Göteborg used to be envied, but not hated. They dominated Swedish football for much of the 80's and 90's and was the team everybody wanted to beat. But when in Europe the whole country would be behind them.
The last 15 years there's been a different champion pretty much every year. No dominant team is a good antidote to hatred.
I guess the only team that would come close is AIK. They're from the capital, they're arrogant, they have a fairly active hooligan following, etc.
