(D) Finishing above where they were last season.
(E) will be their highest PL finish ever (since 92-93)

Those are some challenges to overcome, OK they went off the boil a little but over the whole season, finishing 7th, actually they could still potentially finish 5th (i seriously doubt i though). Plus any fooker that embarrasses the villa like that are fine by me.

Pearson, someone should finish off his ugly mug with a baseball mount.

Simple KUN all the way, with mentions to Harry Kane & the gay one, the rags wouldn't even be in the top half of the league if it wasn't for him (REAL, REAL SIGN HIM UP).

Have to agree with the above. To me it's a no brainer

I withdraw my Gary Monk and endorse the above.

Difficult to argue against that.

Kun for player of the year.

Maybe Van Gaal and Brenda could share a "underachiever of the year" award?

I'm dissapointed with Butthead, Moysie was doing a cracking job last year and he's come and ruined all that hard work!

He's every bit as bad.
Had a much bigger budget, got better players in and hadn't got Champs League to contend with.

Wait for the fireworks to go off next season. At least he'll be more entertaining.
Looking at Him and Giggs together, gets more and more like Beavis & Butthead by the day.

Exactly. Spends all those millions on a already expensive squad and plays long ball to Fellaini.

If our manager spent all that money and couldn't get better than 4th and having to go to play CL qualifiers the media would make sure all country laughs at him

So Mourinho won it for the fantastic double in his second premier league spell in his second season back! Last year, Tony Pulis won it!

I won't argue against Hazard getting POTY, but Aguero will get the Golden boot as a consolation, so not all bad.

Man City's Sergio Aguero to grab Golden Boot - despite being snubbed for award
"Sergio Aguero will receive the Premier League's Golden Boot after Sunday's match

SERGIO Aguero is clearly fed up with being snubbed by the givers of individual honours … so he has grabbed one that he cannot be denied.

And City fans will be able to show their appreciation of the 31-goal striker when he is presented with the Golden Boot award – handed to the Premier League top scorer – after Sunday’s final home game against Southampton.

If Joe Hart can keep a clean sheet, he will receive the Golden Glove for most clean sheets - and City will also mark Frank Lampard’s final game in English football.

Aguero’s triumph is a pointed reminder to his fellow professionals that the deadliest striker in Premier League history – with 77 goals in 118 games – has been nominated for Player of the Year once.

He was also nominated for Young Player of the Year in 2012, when the last of his 23 goals won City the title in dramatic fashion – and lost out to Spurs right back Kyle Walker.

This season he has topped the goalscoring charts despite a month out injured and, unless Tottenham’s Harry Kane can break the league’s individual goalscoring record with a double hat-trick, he will finish top of the heap.

There is a degree of puzzlement at City – and certainly among the support – as to why City have been ignored when individual honours have been dished out in recent years.

Fans can ensure Man City ace Sergio Aguero finally gets recognition

That mystery deepens when you consider the fact City are often dismissed as a collection of individuals – principally Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, David Silva and Aguero – rather than a team as such.

A glance at the statistics is enough to make even the most stoic Blue slightly paranoid, given that City have been champions twice and runners-up twice in four years.

Last season City’s sole nominee Toure, who was colossal in the title victory, not only missed out to the brilliant Luis Suarez, he finished behind Steven Gerrard in the voting – patently ludicrous.

There are reasons why City do not do so well when these awards are dished out, not least the use of tactical votings.
The voting also takes place in late February to early March, before Aguero produced his spurt of 12 goals in 15 games.

Revealed: Man City's Sergio Aguero IS the Premier League's deadliest-ever striker

And in both the players’ award and the more traditional Footballer of the Year voted by journalists, there is a distinct southern bias – people tend to vote for what they see, and London has the most footballers and football journalists.

Next week brings the Manager of the Year award, with Jose Mourinho odds on to take the honour. If the Chelsea boss wins it, that's only three times in 14 years has the manager of the champions NOT won it – and two of those were City bosses Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini!"

all the way to Thailand for Prem highlights? Impressive.

Some darts later? An orange squash and full english brekky? Complaints about all the foreigners?

Just like home!

No no, just up to nuts in ladyboy guts.

Joking aside, I booked this trip in mind of watching us win the league on the last day and for us to be in the fa cup final, as watching fitba in the wee hours with Thais is a fucking brilliant experience. I am sorry for jinxing the entire season since I booked this at new year.

Eggsackly. Who cares.

An Us vs them cunts attitude is what will drive us forward.

Only reason a manager like Simeone could have any success here in the short term. There's a small window of 5 years that a chip on our shoulder given the talent we have could yield results better than expected if you motivate players.

The Count is above motivation. Mancini was the Jr League Jose of it. And Simeone is the fake English version of it.

Anyway, the lesson? Don't drink at lunch o. A Friday or your posts will make less sense than any of our Aussie posters who are absolute shit BTW.

Cheers

I watched the Chelsea Liverpool game last year in Thailand, and you're right, it's a brilliant experience. All the Thais with their Liverpool shirts on, absolutely going mental at the slightest little thing, proper going ott.

Their faces when slippy g did his thing will live long in the memory, as will the ping pong show that was going on in the other corner of the bar

Oh you lucky bastard, that must have been amazing.

Chelsea are still making inroads here but are a lot further along than city. Unfortunately the majority of Thais have sold themselves to the sky hype. Liverpool and united rule here, most older Thais are scouse and the younger are rags.

I'm seeing more and more city shirts in the villages though. Silva has become a bit of a hero here.

But I'm jealous that you saw the Gerrard slip here. That must have been incredible. I saw us in the league cup game with scouse a few years back, the bar went fucking mental when Bellamy scored for them.

As much as I hate the pair of them, I would love to see the rags against the scouse here. They put on proper bog fan fests, big screens in public areas like you get in world cup fan zones. Proper big tie is that. I watched united get beat by barca in the cl final a few years back when here, that was fucking delicious.

I'd definitely swap Aguero for Walker, but I doubt Spurs would go for it. On the grounds we won nothing and finished second, I expected Pellegrini to at least get a nomination.

Koemen should've won it for me.

club sold most of their best players and he was tasked with bringing in new faces from other countries/leagues and most people expected them to be in the relegation scrap. instead, they're fighting for a EL place.
