What an unremitting flow of turgid dross and drivel served up by Woy and his 'boys', unless it's some sort of deviant master plan to bore the opposition into submission.
The Irish players actually looked more comfortable on the ball than England's finest, although we were fortunately spared the ultimate embarrassment of having Cleverley on the pitch unless, that is, he is being 'saved' for the Slovenia encounter and he somehow constitutes Woy's secret weapon.
Moreover, the England players succeeded in making Wilshere appear to be the stand-out performer and to look almost adequate, purely by virtue of him being a little less than average when compared to the rest of the mediocre nondescripts on display.
It's also interesting to note that, now he is a fully fledged Loserpool star, Milner gets picked to play from the start and, having become a paid up member of the supposedly scintillating Scouse brigade, he immediately looked as bad, if not worse, than messrs Lallana and Henderson.
As for Sterling, the least said, the better.........
Finally, it's akin to being a veritable scandal that Shrek gets on the pitch at all, courtesy of him being neither use, nor ornament and with the ball control of a donkey, unless that's being a little unfair to donkeys.
So, all in all, yet another typical England performance and a couple of wasted hours of my life that I'll never get back.
