Don't forget Adam 'the next Messi' Lallana.

We should sue Greg Dyke for forcing us to play any of these numpties.

Young adam. As rodgers calls him.
I think he's 28

27 mate.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

We just don't have the quality, but they seem to get more out of the team than the sum of the parts.
The game means more to each FA than in any real football sense, but I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.

I think both teams are the same in that regard. They try hard but there is no real quality.

I make of it, that England are shit.

But I knew that before it kicked off.

Fair enough Ted, but there are varying shades of shit and us Irish are as well versed in them as the 40 shades of green.
I think from an Irish point of view once you've accepted that your shit things become simpler. You have a base from which to work from. Ireland even at their best have always started from the base of being difficult to play against.
We have a game against Scotland next week that we have to win. Being hard to beat will not be good enough.
Ireland showed in the last 20-25 minutes that when we have expended a lot of energy we don't have the quality to hold onto possession.
The game started slow, worked itself up to a trot and then kind of petered out.

That was the first time I have ever thought Andy Townsend was best suited to giving the commentary on a match. Wholly uninspiring stuff.

Worse than an end of season mid-table bore-fest.

I like international football, but at this time when everybody wants a holiday?

Fucking stupid fixtures!

What an unremitting flow of turgid dross and drivel served up by Woy and his 'boys', unless it's some sort of deviant master plan to bore the opposition into submission.

The Irish players actually looked more comfortable on the ball than England's finest, although we were fortunately spared the ultimate embarrassment of having Cleverley on the pitch unless, that is, he is being 'saved' for the Slovenia encounter and he somehow constitutes Woy's secret weapon.

Moreover, the England players succeeded in making Wilshere appear to be the stand-out performer and to look almost adequate, purely by virtue of him being a little less than average when compared to the rest of the mediocre nondescripts on display.

It's also interesting to note that, now he is a fully fledged Loserpool star, Milner gets picked to play from the start and, having become a paid up member of the supposedly scintillating Scouse brigade, he immediately looked as bad, if not worse, than messrs Lallana and Henderson.

As for Sterling, the least said, the better.........

Finally, it's akin to being a veritable scandal that Shrek gets on the pitch at all, courtesy of him being neither use, nor ornament and with the ball control of a donkey, unless that's being a little unfair to donkeys.

So, all in all, yet another typical England performance and a couple of wasted hours of my life that I'll never get back.

After the match Sergio was interviewed with Tia Maria. He was asked why Tia doesn't get to play much at Manchester United. Sergio said he'll come and play with us at Manchester City! They both laughed I think!

Denayer starts for Belgium against France. Sagna starts for France with Mangala on the bench.

I'm just watching it - they could have done with Mangala - Belgium did a RAG trick for their second goal and lobbed a high ball in from out wide for Sideshow Bob to score.

Steady on MJ.

There are some who might regard this choice of adjective as being a little unfortunate.
