Sterling has looked relatively poor this season, but he actually created more goalscoring chances than the previous one but ended up with less assists as they were to Mario and Lambert, not Suarez and Sturridge.
Stick him on the right, tell him to take people on and then pass it to the stocky short bloke in the middle and he'll be fine. If things get tricky, pass it back to that little Spanish bloke who's always nearby and always in space for some weird reason, then start running and, as if by magic, the ball will reappear at your feet. Then pass it to the stocky bloke.

It also reminded me of Jack Charlton and Bobby Robson who, as managers, never seemed able to remember the names of the players they had selected.
However, given your meritorious footballing awareness and gifted tactical acumen, as exemplified in your post above, have you thought about getting your CV up to date and applying for the City job when Pellegrini goes ??
