People such as myself have been going to City games since th 60's. In fact the only home game I've intentionally missed since the early 70's is that stupid cup thing when we were in the 3rd division. If more & more games become £40 plus, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I won't be able to fucking go to many of them. I think I'm entitled to be bothered about that.

It feels expensive cos we have been treated to low ticket prices for cup games over the last few years. As a price tho it is roughly the same as brum away and i think cheaper than what we paid at the swamp in the league.

have my ticket for both legs it has been an expensive festive period including these games and boro away. But i wouldn't miss it for the world, but i can understand why people will give it a miss.

I agree with you Ted I think we will have well priced season tickets for a good while yet but we are one of the cheapest in the lague as it is. One thing that might be an Idea is to price cup games with a league style pricing structure so this game would be say, £30 north stand and corners £40 levels one and three in the east and cb £50 2nd tier east and cb

The difference between adult and child prices is huge. £40 for me and £5 for the lad. Overall £45 for both us is good but I do agree £40 for an adult ticket is too much.

It doesn't matter whether you think its value for money or well priced against what other clubs charge, some people just can't afford it.

As the other guys have pointed out, you are looking at the price of the ticket in isolation, how much will it have cost you to follow us to all the League cup games in total? Still a damned site less than many other clubs that haven't even reached this stage I'll bet. The club has bent over backwards to give us low priced cup games, some such as the Banana frenzy Euro game last season were almost given away, how can you sit there and criticise the club for charging normal price for a SEMI FINAL? What evidence have you seen in the last two seasons that "more and more" games will be priced at £40? Maybe you'd prefer your season ticket to include a compulsory subscription to pay for all cup games up front?

Ultimately though if anyone is expecting to pay a tenner to watch Champions League games or cup semi's and finals then I suspect they are going to be deeply disappointed, it will get more expensive to watch by virtue of the fact we shouldn't be dropping out of comps after the first game any more

I'm looking at the possibility that ticket prices may start to rise, like they have at the top 4 clubs & reach a point that people like me can't afford to go very often anymore, like it has at the top 4 clubs. You may not give a fuck about that but I do.

If you can't afford it fine don't go, the "get a grip" is aimed at people who think that City are somehow committing a pricing travesty by charging full price for the first time in a cup game for a very long time

As I said it was only a suggestion on a survey from the Premiership with a handful of City specific questions at the end, of which this was one. Cant remember the exact wording but it did seem to indicate that there would no charge at all!

The pricing has been gradually going up suggesting that it's been more of a marketing exercise than a desire to give fans cheap tickets. Once success arrives, which it surely will, demand will increase & added to the need to pretend we're balancing the books for Platini, people such as myself may become irrelevent if there are enough willing to pay & indeed argue the case for higher prices.
