Aston Villa fan here.
Absolutely gutted to be losing our captain, but understand that he is going to a bigger club for more money and championships.
A bit disappointed after his comments towards us when he signed in January but pleased to get a fee for him rather than him not signing a contract and going on a free.
I do worry for his career that he won't get much game time and therefore may not go to the euros next summer. But Man City have a player that will give everything he has on the pitch.
He won't stand out as a goal scorer and doesn't create as much as your star players but for 8 mil he is a great buy.
Again to reiterate, absolutely gutted about losing him but I wish Fabian and Manchester City all the best for next season.
Classy post , thanks :-)
A very fair-minded and gracious comment from someone who is obviously a 'proper' football fan.
Good luck to Villa next season.

We saw about twice from Rodwell, what he could have been, & how much better City could have been with that kind of energy.
But Delph is sharper on the ball & gets about quicker & really, I don't understand why people compare one player with another unless they are similar. Delph isn't a sick note like Rodwell or a wild gamble like Sinclair, he is a different player, & an established one. We don't have many in the squad with his particular attributes. Especially now Milner has gone.
This is a fantastic signing imo. If he doesn't fit in, or is inconsistent, we lose hardly anything, if he reaches his best standard, he's a top class player. No lose situation & at his best, exactly the kind of player we have been lacking, to liven up the team.

If Delph is deemed good enough Richards was, I am a fan of Delph and said he could be of interest 9 months ago, What I do not get is not making Micah feel staying was a genuine option. He gets his fitness back he would be a starter and English. Funny biz football.
