This will be down to all the negativity from various cunts in the game & media & online I bet. It's made him have a rethink.

And people say this stuff doesn't matter.

We already have way too many bald players reminding me of my own lack of hair anyway.

SSN are now reporting it as
"Fabian Delph is staying at Aston Villa after deciding against a move to Manchester City"

There is no way in hell these cunts know why the deal didn't happen, but within minutes of reading it off the Villa website, they immediately presume it was his decision and we got snubbed.

Typical fucking Sky.

Strange, can't help but think its a terrible decision from him, maybe he knows pogba is coming too and thinks he has no chance?

Can see him regretting this further down the line, when will he ever get a crack at the big time again?

The deal just made sense for everyone, this now makes no sense.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It only made sense if he had balls enough for it to make sense. If he thought that he was good enough to win a starting berth then he'd have jogged to Manchester overnight . . the fact is that he doesn't believe that he can compete at the top so he's staying where he's comfortable in a bottom half team and it's the best outcome for all concerned as we need all our players to have self belief, have the courage for every challenge and be motivated for success.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

If he hasn't got the self belief to think he could come here and be a success he's made the right decision for both clubs. If it is a blow to U.S. It's a pretty mimor one. We need now to sort out the Sterling situation ASAP. Pay the 50 million and be done with it.

At least he's realistic and self-aware….unlike these delusional idiots that move to Real and think they're gonna play, but then just get upset at not playing and want to leave….or like Remy at Chelsea. no way was he going to start over Costa.

It means really we have to find at least one other centre mid if we can't get Pogba or go with what we had last season, which lacks balance. Then of course the problem is that Delph is homegrown, so unless we can find a high quality hg player, we have to sell to make room, then it is also likely to cost us 20 mil rather than 8.

Agreed, completely negative reporting from right across the media. It will be hard to find a homegrown player of his quality below £20M+

Disappointing. How much so we will see in September when we know the final squad. If we get Pogba or a similar type of midfielder, the blow will be forgotten. If we don't, then it will be a disappointment.

Twice now that this bald prick has done this to us! I'm assuming he's stayed with Villa so he'll make the England squad next summer - because they're obviously going to win the euros....

I'd just Joey back on a free, have him sit out the season apart from when we play Villa home and away and just get him to sit on Delph and do a job on him! Wanker.

People can blame the media but if "on of our own" in Richards is sticking the boot in as well we never had a chance.

What pisses me off most isn't thirst we've missed out on some no mark. It's that those scouse pricks will be sat there now thinking 'City are desperate for English players now' and will just sit it out with Sterling.
