Keep it simple.. something close to the 70-90s badge with Est 1894 on it. Need to get rid of 'Superbia in proelio' coz we aint spanish.
ALSO.. does anyone know if the ship on the old badge was a specific ship? Always wondered about that.

That top one in the renders looks ace and conforms to the CFG remit on branding.
Good to see this happening and even though the new badge has grown on me, my heart will always long for a return to what I grew up with.
*no comments about the St Marks badge, please.

I've just done my survey. I'm a fan of be bee as well but think the other examples that Mister Disco posted further up is a solid entry.
What we know is that they're going to design their own badge and not simply select something that exists.
I hope they do this in time for next season and don't drag it out like some other things they've taken ages to deliver.
Cheers

The bee has zero to do with mcfc. I wouldn't include it.

Me neither. It used be a sign of industry in the area which has long gone. The new badge should be one for the future.

That sort of disqualifies the ship and the rose as well.

Interesting views on here, as always. Good to see. The consultation period is now well and truly open. City have asked me to do a series of lectures on the history of the badge and I'd urge everyone who can to book a session. There's also the consultation space in City Square which is well worth visiting. More than anything though, take part in the process and get your views to City. Don't assume someone else has said what you want.

If anything the badge should have a pile of litter or a tent to symbolise Modern Manchester.

What about replacing the ship with a picture of Kolarov with two wolves either side of the badge

The bee is a long term symbol of Manchester. It was on the Boddies logo. I also had an HMS Manchester tie which was simply Navy Blue with a bee motif. I hope it is included.
City and sniffing knickers.

It was a sign of the industrious nature of the people of Manchester. And we're still here!
