Manchester City & Chelsea Observers In Genoa To Watch Simon Kjaer & Giampaolo Pazzini
Scouts from both English clubs are in Italy keeping tabs on transfer targets...
An essence of Premier League influence swept through the Luigi Ferraris yesterday afternoon as Manchester City, and Chelsea observers took their place to watch Sampdoria and Palermo, with eyes being cemented on Simon Kjaer, and Giampaolo Pazzini.
According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, Citizens coach Roberto Mancini has sent a team of scouts to Marassi to keep an eye on Kjaer. The Danish international has long been linked with a Premier League switch, and Mancio is keen on carrying out early surveys.
The Rosanero have always sidestepped the Kjaer question, claiming he is not for sale. But the game in Genoa will give the English side a chance to get a closer look at the 20-year-old.

He moved to inter and won 3 consecutive seria A titles with mancini.
He is older now but still has a lot to offer to our midfield experience , height and he wont take no shit.

Kjaer's a CB & Pazzini's a striker.

Liked the look of Cordoba for Inter t'other day & could see him in the PL even at his age but I wonder if they'll let him go now the fullback's fractured his head.

We were looking at that very fullback too!

Wooders wrote:Ansaldi is coming apparently
According to a report in Russian newspaper Sport Express, Premier League outfit Manchester City have reached an agreement with Rubin Kazan over the transfer of full-back Cristian Ansaldi.
The Argentinian international impressed during Rubin's Champions League campaign and has since been continually linked with a move away from the Russian champions.
The report claims that the Citizens will pay Rubin a fee of €4.5 million to secure the services of the 23-year-old defender. However, Ansaldi has yet to agree personal terms with City.
Ansaldi joined Rubin Kazan from Newell's Old Boys in January 2008 and has since helped the Russian club to two consecutive league titles. He has made well over 50 appearances for the Europa League hopefuls.

Can somebody please clarify why having a top class pro like Vieira added to the squad is so awful?
For a start I very much doubt he will usurp barry and NDJ for a starting place in the squad and as we know injuries and suspensions are common place at this point in the season.
Secondly this "over subscribed in centre midfield" argument I really cannot understand either! As far as I see it we only have Barry and NDJ who are true central/defensive midfielders in our entire squad - Johnson as well but he is injured and won't be back this season if ever and Ireland who isn't comfortable there, he needs to be in attack. Komps and Zabba are defenders for fucks sake, its the same people who say "why are we buying a CM when we're short of defenders" that are against Vieira coming... well there is two for you right fuckin there who you are determined to play in CDM it seems ??
As I say - bemused, well and truly
