I need to tell you that I wouldn't prefer Jayko than Bony.

So fuck off. A lot.

Cheers

Fucking hell !!! Lets see if he can put behind him the below average performances he has dished up for ages and see if he can put in the same CL performance week in and week out before we hail him ffs! ......(or until Aguero is back).

Always the same story with some of you fans...he plays shite for ages , gets rightly slagged off for it , and then has one very good game which means we were all wrong slagging him off in the first place and we should now all relent and hail the cunt !!!

Bollocks......I will praise him (which I have done) and slag him off (which I rightly have done) on every performance , in every game like any other player but I will not change my appraisal of him or any other player on the basis of one fuckign game.

How the memory fades with age. Dzeko was absolute dogs the last two years. My old mother could trap and hold the ball better

Dzeko was never the player Mancini or Pellegrini wanted him to be. He was a goalscorer, and that's pretty much it. People seem to have had expectations way above that, but those expectations were always unrealistic, hold up play and interplay is not what he is about, he's about putting it in the onion bag and that's it. That's also why Bony was bought and Dzeko was binned, as we needed a different type of player.

You mean one year right?

I seem to remember him scoring 9 in 11 at the end of the 13/14 season and really was a major component of us winning the title.

Yeah one year, slight exaggeration.

What a memory you have, numbers and all!

I believe he played very well against Leverkeusen the other night, seems he's hitting form. Form.

He hasn't scored many goals this season. He didn't score many goals last season either. He did score some important goals over the years but I'm not sorry he's gone.

I sort of felt sorry for him over all the years. Can't really say why but I guess it had to do with my opinion that we missused him and that he didn't seem to be the stablest of chaps. Mentally that is.

THe irony of all is that Dzeko would have absolutely thrived playing with Sterling and Navas on either side of him. We'd been 4-0 up in the first half hour against Chelsea for example if he, not Agüero would have played. It is what it is I guess.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

The only part of Dzeko's game that is superior to Bony's is his first-time shooting, or snap shot. He was excellent at this, but for hold up play and all round team play, Bony is a step up for sure. He gives us excellent balance.

Our last title win was massively down to Dzeko and I'll always remember him fondly for that.
I loved his performance against Spurs.
