I call bullshit on this one. I think its some gentlemans agreement or grovelling to Pellers after the last fiasco. Belgium are through, job done, nothing to learn about VK in meaningless friendlies.

I was thinking along the same lines, is this Vinnie making himself unavailable out of respect to Pellegrini? Probably just wishful thinking.

I'm glad he has left Wilmot's squad the wanker he is.

Get him back and keep him fit but also keep the dippers guessing right until the teamsheets going in same goes with Merlin and Sergio it will do their management in if they dont know who is fit.

I hope so. Glad he's pulled out of the Belgium squad, but this is worrying as he has been been so important to us when fit this season.

Except he was dropped for two games after he played 60 minutes with Belgium. Was this due to fitness concerns, showing who's boss, or a bit of both? I suspect it's the last choice, so perhaps not just out of "respect."
