He is a strange one, another player made of glass.

Mind you, it could be worse, Liverpools list is worse than ours.

They overplayed him, and it would be only fair if they were to provide us with some kind of financial redress to account for their mismanagement of our player.

Not last season, he only played 26 games in all comps last season opposed to 36 in the 13/14 season.

Compare that to 43 for Fernandinho & 49 for Yaya.........

More reason to sign Witsel then. I like Delph and would love him to prove all the doubters and Brummie haters wrong, but his injury record is a fucking jokeshop

I feel sorry for Delph. He made less than 100 league appearances in 6 years. His injury record is appalling and players who are injury prone generally remain so. Rodwell at Everton, City and Sunderland, Kieron Dyer at every club he went to, Sturridge at City, Chelsea and the Dippers etc etc. It always amazes me that clubs still buy these players

Spurs worked around Ledley King using him when they needed and wrapping him in cotton wool the rest of the time. City did the same with Bellamy until Mancini came in, then it was never going to work with those two. But it certainly can be done, just needs to cater to the capabilities of the player. Sturridge is a fucking tragedy, he should be the number one choice for England right now and he's barely been fit since his move to the dippers.

I think they've always had issues. Vinny had issues when he joined, Sergio seems to have always had issues with his thighs, Dave with his ankle injury and nasri just being a bit of a soft git. Delph has had more games out than played over the last 6 seasons.

Then we had Jovetic, the sickly little Tiny Tim, so I'll say no more.

I honestly think we rush players back too soon. Wouldn't surprise me to see Sergio getting 90 minutes on Saturday. That's madness!

Funny how we all have a pop at Vinnie when he does this while nobody really cares about poor Faberche.

It's a strange one. I don't know why they are keeping this a secret. Maybe City didn't want them to but that makes me think it's more of a problem than con-cushion.

It is a strange one because Delph was trying to shake off his hamstring after a lung busting run to defend the goal; which he made BTW.

As above, I thought Delph was a real driving force against Spain, forcing the play whilst chasing back and giving cover. Was a little concerned when he pulled up but seemed to go on without any issue.

Possibly pulled him out as a precaution rather than serious injury.

A sicknote who will be moved on if we can get someone better. A shame as he is a good player but 100 odd games in six years tells it's own story. He was a cheap gamble at £8m which was worth taking but already he has had three separate injuries this season. I really hope he gets properly fit but there are certain players who will never be fit for 20 games and I think he is one of them.

I hope not but I think you're right, that's why we got him for that price with no other bidders.

Still, there's time. He seems to be rushed back after serious injury and for this one I blame Hodgson foir playing him from the off after only a few minutes with us. In fact, I'd go to say the cunt did it on purpose. The Rag/Dipper loving cunt!

I don't think that's the case on this one, why would we bother rushing Delph back to give him 5 mins and 10 mins in our last 2 games with the international break coming up? It makes no sense. If he has done his hamstring I'd be questioning why Hodgson saw fit to start a player in a friendly who is being eased back in by his club.

Edit: just saw Beefy's post above saying the same thing, that'll learn me to read a thread in full before posting.

Last season he missed 8 PL games through injury, (he played 32 games in total that season), the season before he missed only 2, (he played 36 games in total that season). He played 90 minutes virtually every other game. Harsh to say he's a "sicknote" from his previous experience. Looks like his re-introduction to action has not been best managed.
