Maybe let's not sack him for Brian kidd or the tea lady just yet?

It's a funny old game, but one that is only won at the final whistle. In the final game.

I was wondering why he was changing it when we were on top, but he got it bang on.

Bony and navas introduction knocked the shit out of them.

Stop it. No ones happier than me about today.

I'd still stick a wooden stake in his heart if I'm honest. We're so schizo.

When he draws at the weekend what will you say then?

Amazing second half tho. And his subs? Lucky as fuck since we were battering them at the time. The goals were going to come if he subbed OD and myself in tbh.

But fair fucks. Bony was good. Very good.

Cheers

Sub on OD yes, but Doomy to score?

Not quite true IMO. KDB needed to be taken off in my opinion and unpopular as it is, he subbed him for Navas.
I wasn't so sure about taking Delph off, but Bony going on suddenly gave us a focal point in a very congested German defense.
He drew two. Sometimes three on to him. The speed of attack increased with the space opening up.
The big question is why doesn't this work other weeks.
The difference in my opinion is all our players were up for it like they should be and it shows it works when they do.

Well done Pellers. I think the players attitude was the main point though. A good response to what could have turned into another shambles.

Yeah. They were given a Pep talk......

I think this is spot on. It's a very welcome feeling after a really shit weekend and start to the week.

The bad defeats of late have taken their toll.
The job now is about maintaining that second half form from last night, keep that momentum going into the next game. I think last nights result, 2nd half performance and finishing top in the group will restore a little confidence.
If only we can get Vinny back we should look less fragile in defence and kick on form this. Hopefully.

It was a fantastic win last night and one of the most uplifting games I can remember. MP is getting a big pat on the back, but I'm not sure playing the extra man in midfield last night was his innovation. It just serves to underline the tactical mess he made at Stoke.

I think MP is nailed on to leave at end of season and whatever we win I will be happy he goes. He clearly has trouble motivating the team and isd a very stubborn manager by refusing to admit he made a mistake in Managala. Also I am up for rotation but he chops and changes the back 4 so much there is no consistency and it clearly shows, there is no leadership without Kompany and that's a huge issue too. We need a motivator and I really hope we do get Pep as he can take us to the level Pellegrini cannot. However changing now is a sillly idea end of season is the best time. I think the extension was made for a nice pay day.

Why would any manager publically admit they made a mistake signing a player. It just doesn't happen. The only admission would be when said player is sold and then admission is only an actions speak louder than words basis.
What makes you so certain he 'clearly has problems motivating his players ' its a bold statement which you back up with erm...well absolutely nothing.
No leadership without Kompany, well firstly its hardly pellers fault vk is injured. Secondly both Yaya and Hart are obvious captains they have both skippered their national teams and have a lot to say for themselves.
Rotation in the back 4 is a must when competing on so many fronts which I know you get but when it comes to consistency just look at the injuries this season...zabba, Demi, vk, Otamendi, mangala and clichy have all been injured at some point so how would you suggest pellers doesn't rotate to the extent he has done on that basis - his hand has been somewhat forced don't you think?
I really don't know what some people expect he's done a great job since arriving trophies, continued improvement in the champs league and very much gunning on all fronts this season as of now. We are not winning every game and some performances are below what we saw in the previous game which leaves us all a little puzzled sometimes but that's what happens in football and life.....it's just how it is.
Some of the things written about the count in the last week have beggared belief and been totally out of order. I think pellers comments pre match about monks sacking were both poignant and somewhat ironic . I think indirectly were aimed at those who have criticized him recently and if they were good on him!

Injuries, the most in the league by a clear margin and we're top of the league, through as group winners in the Champions League, in the League Cup semi final and still have the FA Cup to come.

BTW, the team who has the 2nd most injuries in the Premier League this season is Newcastle, working on another relegation.

Yep.

Although we've been below par in some league games for sure, as long as the above remains true anyone calling for Pelligrini to get sacked right now is a knee-jerking imbecile of the highest order.

This.

Two wins, sack the manager! Some of it is so infantile. We aren't winning 5-0 so Pellegrini out!

Bottom line is the owners would never do anything mid season, so why is anyone daft enough to bring it up?

Was it? A very expensive way to stop rumours don't you think?

I assumed it was to give Pellegrini a golden handshake for a job well done when we part company at the end of the season.

It could also be viewed as a contingency plan were we not to get our man this summer.

For me It seemed to take the Friday pressers down a notch, Jose has also helped with his panto performances, Pep,tied in plus does not break a contract. Golden handshake, keep it warm ! possible, Players working for a lame duck, dangerous tactic, we have seen that before ...might explain the poor run of form we are in. Arsenal is crucial for the Premier season for me and might answer what Pellers has left. Another dippers performance shake his hand.

I don't see this at all at this point. When the rumours years ago were there, sure, but now?

We are a far better destination for him.
