It'll be a massive kick in the teeth.
Totally agree.
tbh i could not understand some of our signings the plans being Guardiola long term.Players like Mangala are Dog shit Technically. he can lose possession under no pressure, and gift the opposition the ball .How would he suite Guardiola style.Makes no sense. Many of them are not very good at passing to team mates. I excpect a massive over haul.

The press will be full of bullshit until the summer. They will all try to second guess one another. Take it with a big pinch of salt.

If the rumors really are true and Guardiola fucks us over and goes to Chelsea I know it wont be a popular choice on here, but i would happily take Mourinho.

I am happy for us to stick with Pellegrini this season if our top 4 finish is guaranteed, a Carling Cup, and trip to Wembley would be nice. Older City fans love these days out, I know I do. Then next season we need a new manager.

"yes" the man as a person is a cunt ,but he is a proven winner. we know that we also have our own problems with one or two bad Apples in the dressing room. Point being, we are going to have to deal with our Chelsea style problem in the dressing room before we move on anyway. Cometh the hour cometh the man.

He would be reinvigorated, a man on a mission. Having a point to prove. Chelsea in my opinion have dropped a bollock of epic proportions getting rid of the most successful manager in the modern game after Bacon Face. I felt we made a huge mistake sacking Mancini for Pellegrini, even though we won the title under Pellegrini we have gone backwards on the pitch.

I know some fans will have serious reservations about his style. Maybe even our owners. I would take 1-0 wins over 4-0 defeats every other week, any day. He has been pretty good in Europe and his style is geared more for success in the Champions League.

I wouldn't actually have a problem him moaning about bent officiating against us week in week out. It would make a change from us not complaining.

Problem with Mourinho is he less inclined in using the youth team. His last fallout and them under performing with the senior players at Chelsea is evidence of that. The same criticisms have been levelled at both Mancini and Pellegrini during their time at City.

I see all your above points and they have merit.

But a big fat NO from me. It would be a sad day to have him through the door as a manager for me. Yes, he may well us a title or two but who is to say someone else wouldn't? Plus he would set the club back a few years as a clear out is inevitably needed after he has left a club. You basically get short term gain but little stability in the longer run. This is not something our custodians see benefit in so I would be gobsmacked if we got him. PSG is my bet for Mourinho.

Well, happily, it seems that no one else has picked up this "source" and I can find paddy power and sky bet offering about 5/1 on Chelsea being the next pep stop.

So Yes, you were all probably correct seeing it as bollox, I was just a bit shocked seeing it announced on TV like that.

I really hope it all comes true, but we do have a history of not landing the seemingly certain deals.

In the long term, it would be my dream to have a manager actually make his name at city, Vinnie or Pablo perhaps...

Happy Christmas all

Pep seems to be leaving for a different Premier League club every day lately.

I'll wait until we have something concrete from him.

If pep comes when it's finally time for The Count to go, then great. If he doesn't come, we'll carry on doing just fine. In the meantime we have a manager who is perfectly OK.
I'm not desperate for Pep.

I agree wholeheartedly about this whole Pep debacle.

I don't believe that Pellegrini is the sole reason for our slump lately.

Yes, he made a few poor tactical decisions but his is a factor in a range of issues. I've mentioned before that I think that the Pep rumours have also been a factor, along with injuries and player complacency.

If we get Pep, all fine and dandy, but if not, then I'm happy with what MP has brought to the club so far.

He won't go to Cjelsea. It was accurately reported months ago that Ambramovic is too unstable as a chairman and Pep doesn't like that. With Pep, EVERYONE has to be with him or they're out. Case in point Bayerns club doctor. He can out a chairman so that relationship is critical. Pep and Khaldoon is a match made in heaven. He's coming to us, fret not. Only problem is this season is a write off because of the "rumours". Too unsettling to mount x4 challenges.

Pep needs to shut the fuck up about "choosing his club in England". He's making himself look like an arrogant prick.

Its unsettling our club too. Surely we'd have asked him to kindly keep quiet until the season is over, if he's coming here.

Is this is the way he behaves, are we heading for Mancini v2? Arrogant, his way only. Yes Mancini's time was successful at City, but only just. It could be argued we should have won the 2012 title by several points.

I guess if we win Champs Leagues and Premier Leagues no one will really care how he acts. I just dont want him to rip the heart out of the club and start sacking.......... Chappie.....

Actually, with this statement today, I think he made it clear, in a non-verbal way, that he is NOT going to Chelsea.

Think about it, if he would had accepted Abramovich, he would had say, instead, he is keeping quiet. Everyone knows that Hiddink will stay untill summer, no one can become unsettle there.

It is between us and filth, but with City as huge favorites.
