We're not pinning our hopes on him. We're adding him to team of 10 very good other players. If we don't put him in we'll never know what he can bring.

And with our unstable away form there is a real danger of throwing the kid under a bus. This is his first full season as a pro so gradual introduction is the key. More than likely he will be given a run out in either of our cup ties.

Then when is he supposed to get his experience? We put him in the team and he doesn't do well - we haven't lost anything and he's still a kid that can improve and will have off days. Did the rags throw Butt, Giggs, Scholes, Beckham etc under the bus giving them a chance?

If he wants more game time then first and foremost he should be listening more to the current manager.

I am sure kelechi is not laughing, what the fuck is he ment to do in 3 minutes. Getting a few 2-3 minute cameos here and there is not good enough, the lack of willing to introduce younger players when the opportunity arises is shameful management.
He should be given a proper chance, and not just in the league cup.

I agree that a couple of minutes isn't enough but you really think the lad is becoming disillusioned already? If he is then he's not worth the hassle.

I agree he shouldn't be disillusioned alread. I hope he isn't and the manager ( and others) are looking after him well but I am just a touch worried. Maybe he isn't as good as I and others might think but the concern is that half way through the season and we hacven't seen enough of him to find out.

Of course we don't just throw him and pray but with all the quality around him I am totally confident he would not sink. I have seen plenty of him to know he is a mega confident lad, with pace, strength and touch and he scores goals. He needs more time than he is getting but I hope with the cup games loomimng he gets chances and I hope he makes the CL squad too.

I don't know if he is disillusioned, but he may be. I hope not. But is he happy with the opportunities offered to him? I wouldn't think so, but only he knows. Many here believe he should play more and is not being afforded adequate opportunity. I think it's bad management.

Clichy to start for Kolarov to give Kola a rest, I'd start with Sagna on the right & give Zaba half an hour depending on the game situation.

Aguero to start up front but Iheanacho should be given the last half an hour instead of Bony.

All this depends on who's fit at game time of course.

Who should? Nacho? When has he shown he hasn't listened to Pellers? Or is there something you know that we don't?

Seeing that Pellegrini is picking the team and is working closely with Iheanacho then yes he should be listening to manager. No inside information but common sense.

So if he's not listening to the manager, like you say, it's common sense to get rid then? Surely we don't want a young player getting too big for his boots and not listening to the manager?

Possible but that decision is down to both the DoF and the manager.

I am sure City (manager and DoF) know that Iheanacho is a potential star of the future and are bringing him on the way they think is best. It's just hard for us moron fans to accept when we keep seeing a player who isn't as good as he is getting games and our away record is appalling.

The potential is there with Iheanacho but a point Frank Lampard made post match when Chelsea played Leicester, there is a time to bring the youth fully into the first team picture and either putting them in when the team is losing key players for lengthy periods and is struggling for form on top of that, or in Chelsea's case a complete breakdown between Mourinho and the team that isn't the best environment to bring them in. For me we are handling Kelechi as well as to be expected. Although Wilf isn't ripping up trees at City, he is proven that he has a good goal scoring record in his career and at this time he can bring other qualities that the young striker doesn't have in his game yet.

In pretty sure bonys recent record is good. Hindered perhaps by his manager not having faith and playing him in recent games. Devils advocate and all that.

Bony's City form is nothing to do with Pellegrini's lack of faith. More to do with the combination of not having a full pre season with his team mates (illness has paid to that), having to take on the burden in being the main striker with Aguero being injured for a large partof the season and a few injuries thrown in as well. With all that going on, I am not surprised he isn't in a rich vein of form.

Nacho on instead of Aguero?

What are y'all smokin?

Would be nice to give him more of a chance, but this game is too important.

We're not pinning our hopes on him. We're adding him to team of 10 very good other players. If we don't put him in we'll never know what he can bring.

In a game we need a good result as Aguero is finally getting fit, which is when he usually turns it on?

I'm just struggling to understand the thinking here.

aside from injury or a sending off giving someone only 2 minutes when you're trying to score a goal is utterly useless.
(i know Nacho scored vs. CP)

What did Aguero show you against Leicester that proved he's 'finally getting fit' mate? He was anonymous, just like he was at Arsenal. Like you say - it's a game we need a good result in.

If he'd pulled a muscle on 80 minutes due to overdoing it too soon on a wet pitch would you have said - "that's OK, thanks for trying it Manuel"? Aguero was knackered, Bony is now sharp (ish)

As for Nacho phips - he wasn't put on to 'score a goal in 2 minutes'.. It was obviously (surely?) a time wasting sub. Both managers went for 0-0 in the last minutes.
