Bony hasn't been shit at all. He has a bit of a dodgy first touch at times and has fluffed some decent chances but he's been involved in a lot when he's played. He will only ever deputise to Aguero, but it's ridiculous to have him sit out games in favour of an untried teenager who may or may not turn out to be the bollocks. Iheanacho looks to carry a goal threat but Bony does a lot of important hard work.
Absolutely no coincidence that the same people who spent four years slagging Dzeko are now all over Bony.
I didn't spend an entirety of four years slagging off Jayko. Only when he was crap did I slag him off.
And my point to you was about Bony. He has been shit this season. End of story. His moments of worthwhile productivity have been few and far between.
I don't know what you're watching to think otherwise. People can use the stats and call him a full international striker all they want but it doesn't mean anything to me really. I know what I'm watching and it's an out of form striker who offers very little to make our squad better.
We can do much much better.
Cheers
Watch the last 15 minutes of that game on Saturday again Doomie, he didn't make a great impact on the ball, although he was neat and tidy to be fair, but notice how we start throwing high crosses into the box purely because we had a target to aim at, this is what ultimately led to us winning the game.
He hasn't been great by any stretch but to say he's been absolutely shit is just pure nonsense.

We could have gotten the same impact playing any other forward or player up front at the end. It was a matter of numbers. Also Bony isn't like some giant. He's almost certainly smaller than nearly every CB in the Prem i would guess.
And yes he's been shit. Face fucking facts. Swans are about his level. He needs to be swapped out for a better player.
Cheers

Now you're just being silly, he's very good in the air which is why we start putting crosses in with height on them when he came on.

Bony injured ffs. I was hoping Sergio would be a sub tomorrow but he will start now. Maybe Ian will get 30 mns.

No decent player will ever be happy being out of the side.
There are better, more productive and more useful strikers than Bony out there.
A list of 20 that you argue with me about won't really settle this debate.
You think Bony is a good backup striker option. I think he's not.
Cheers

I throw Dzeko in for starters

Alioune DVToure wrote:Admittedly, Lukaku looks much better value at £28m than Bony does. The problem is that he's only proven that he was worth that outlay since moving to Everton on a permanent deal. Besides which, he moved there precisely because he wanted to be an automatic starter.
I can see him heading to Spurs, Stretford or Arsenal at the end of this season. If Bony does end up moving on, I'd be tempted to try and bring him here.
