Really interesting to see how the players react to this, hopefully they put the shoulder to the wheel for Manuel.

I dont think so mate, if so all well and good. It's a big-picture change for the club - just look on it as a retirement.

A lot of the thick journos in this country can't understand but transitions like this aren't unusual abroad it seems.

Pep is awesome.

Also, I know it's a weak link at best but if Pep increases our chance of signing Messi by 1% it would be amazing. I can dream can't I...

This is great news but like others are saying I really hope we can win something and have the players dedicate it to The Charming Man. Overall he was here at a perfect time, an overseeing steady hands grandad after Mancini's just as awesome but unstable ways.

This is the final piece now. The world awaits.

My personal favourite Redcafe quotes:

City are basically ahead of us in every aspect now, other than stadium and fanbase.

Oh Jesus get fecked, feck this day. It's the hope that kills you.

Arrrghhh so frustrating. So, my sixth sense was wrong all along. Goddamn it, I was soo sure!

City have confirmed Pep will take over in the summer. I am absolutely fecking gutted.

Its a massive blow IMO

City and Utd are now heading in opposite directions

Can't wait for Giggs to 4-4-2 the shit out of Pep with Martial and Fellaini up front.

Pep can attract almost any player, IMO he will take City to the next level.
This is not good news for MUFC.

The real joke was when Woodward was allegedly having meetings with Guardiola, after Guardiola had already agreed to join MCFC.

Fecking Sky, they got their big transfer news of the day even though it was the one no one was expecting to be announced today.

I never thought I'd see United decline in this manor, whilst City make gigantic strides forward. Makes me physically sick.

And this is what the agenda will be written to say:
For all his talk about romanticism and football clubs, steeped in history - intrigues him, he sure as hell just sort of proved the opposite by going to oil money. The easier choice, not to blemish his near perfect record.

Not a bad shout. A lot of our squad are reaching their use-by date. This season is the Swansong for a few.
