BLACKBURN ROVERS MATCH THREAD

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

If Hughes had put out that 11, I would not have expected us to win.

But Mancini has either got the whole squad beleiving, or got the tactics spot on and the method of play perfect for the players he puts out.

He sorted it in days, but Hughes had 18 months to sort out tactics and formations and rarely got it right.

I think Mancini is the real deal, because those 11 players were better than the sum of their parts tonight, and when that happens, its because of the manager.

And that, fellow blues is why we love city!
Was very happy with that result, we weren't firing on all cylinders and still win 4 -1 and the last Tevez goal was breathtaking and I am honoured to have seen it.
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

I love defending.... I'm of the oppinion that you go on the field with a point, and if you get the chances to score you'll get all three. To conceed take a little bit of shine off it.

But, lets not forget where we were 3/4 years ago

3/4 years?? You mean 3/4 week ago!?!

The transformation is fantastic, we are tactically and formationally(?) beating teams. Not just relying on having better players than them all over the pitch and praying it works in any rag-tag formation and general hoof it or play wherever you like attitude.

I thought Robinho was excellent when he came on and he clearly wanted to impress. In 20 minutes he got a goal (albeit was offside) and nearly scored another from the edge of the box. He was even tracking back.

When he very first got the ball he charged as fast as he could towards the Blackburn defence, although he lost the ball his impetus was nice to see.

I truly believe he wants to stay here at City and I also believe Mancini will get the best out of him. He has been injured for a while and once he gets back properly match fit I think he will show the world what he's all about.

Tevez, you were absolutely brilliant.

What a game! After a kinda boring first half we completely turned it into an entertaining game. This is the new typical City I hope.

Great win. Delighted.

Shame i had to sit through an aweful 5live commentary. That Alan Green fella is a total prick, we win heavily and yet he still slags us off for the whole 90. Twat.

Agree about Robinho mate he looked hungry tonight and he must have been gutted to have that goal disallowed.

Hughes can look back and see how it didn't need too much to sort out our defence
Just run the tapes back, and see how much time our full-backs spent in the opposition half; in a typical game under Hughes, versus even a game like tonight's, against relatively poor opposition.

When we're winning and they're still slagging us off, just eat it up ... it doesn't get any better than this. Then when we're winning and they start licking our asses ... tell em to fuck off! hahah

words can't express how brilliant tevez was, shoulda been 4 for him and one for robbie too.

Mancio is taking it easy bringing robinho back, and I like that. Robinho isn't going anywhere. If hughes had stayed he would be gone by the end of Jan.

I don't want to stir shit but did anyone else think Bellamy looked like thunder and about to explode when he had to come off for Robbie? Personally I would have taken Petrov off for Robinho...
