And you say this is biased journalism - for me it is absolutely bang on the fucking money and saying it as it has been for a long time now at city......the manager is the glue that holds this shit together, and has been fucking atrocious at his job if that's what he is here to do

I thought it was a very good post, trying to explain how the media sensationalise everything and don't objectively look the situation and variables.
The part you have chosen is true of nearly every team I've seen and if the likes of Leicester lost a combination of Mahrez, Vardy, Huth and Drinkwater for extended periods then I'd suggest they'd be in the same boat.
The difference is how they'd use the detail to flog the horse, and that's what was being said.

The 4 Leicester players you mention are simply the top performers this season in a team that works incredibly hard for each other. If those 4 left but the manager stayed, their results might not be as good as this season, but they would still fundamentally have a team working for each other, busting a gut to win......because the manager makes that happen. We never had that with either Mancini or Pellegrini, so were always vulnerable to an accusation that we relied on talent, and when talent doesn't turn up for an extended period, we are fucked.
What does the mural in the CFA say about talent and hard work? That was put there for a reason, and the team walk past that every day and pay it no heed.

If you had just written Pellegrini, i could accept it, but don't make Roberto out to be like him, he certainly is not. Mancini is also much better than the tinkler.

Whilst you're entitled to an opinion, history will show that after the 1-5, we toiled for 4 months until Tevez returned and injected some much needed directness into our play. Remarkable similarities to our title winning season under Pellegrini where we smashed the opposition until November, then were largely poor for 4 months until we got our shit together in the last 8 or so games.
In both title winning seasons, the minute teams worked out how to stop us in November, the managers were fucking clueless in how to react for several months, persisted with heavy slow possession based football against massed defences where the team and individuals went into their shell, and scraped over the line after a late rally.
I'm not trying to create a comparison between Mancini and Ranieri as managers overall, I'm simply saying that Ranieri has created a team that is greater than the sum of the parts and deserves massive credit for that. By contrast, neither Pellegrini or Mancini can be credited with that - they won what they did with the best squad, a squad which massively underperformed in nearly half of each title winning season, and a squad whose shortcomings were predictably embarrassing for the club the season after.

When people talk about mind games they always refer to Slur Alex as being the master, Mancini taught him a lesson that season.

Sky sports report that zlatans agents has said every big club has enquired about his availability apart from city who have not made contact.
Just goes to show the BBC for what they are. No agenda my arse
