Didnt see this coming.........Not!!
Violence erupts at London derby
Police say hundreds of people have been involved in the violence
A man has been stabbed in the chest during violence involving "hundreds" of fans outside West Ham's Upton Park stadium during a game with Millwall.
Fights broke out at 1915 BST and were still raging more than an hour later. Police are assessing a man stabbed in nearby Priory Road at about 2025 BST.
A fan told the BBC it was the worst hooliganism he had seen in 30 years.
A Met spokesman said: "It looks like there has been some planned trouble disorder from fans."
He added: "Hundreds of fans are estimated to be involved."
Two arrests have been confirmed, for affray and breaching a control order.
British Transport Police said they heard reports of minor overcrowding at the Tube station near the ground, but their log shows no arrests.
'Bottles and bricks'
The BBC's Ben Jacobs, who is at the stadium, said: "The trouble broke out outside the Tube station about 600 yards from the ground.
"There were 500 to 1,000 riot police and Millwall fans managed to break through the divide.
"Bottles were thrown and bricks were as well."
He added: "There has been a bit of trouble inside the ground.
"There was a penalty shout and fans started gesturing and throwing small objects."

I remember being locked inside the New Den in around 99 when Millwall Neanderthals rioted outside the ground when Ciy drew 1-1 there. We were locked inside for around an hour and when we go out the streets were ike dresden after the Bombers had been!
Frightening really, as we had loads of wimmin and children in our end that night!

West Ham aren't that much better either. One guy stabbed in the chest on Priory Road. That's where the away supporters go into the ground. Its a little rat run down there but even so the police should of had Priory Road well and truly covered from all angles.

Our Fu told me about the time Millwall came to Maine Road a few seasons ago and he said everything was great until City scored and City started to sing "lets all laugh at Millwall" (think we won 3-0 in the end and cook scored)
Fu said they started to pelt the Northstanders with coins, bottles and bits of chairs and said everyone retreated towards to the opposite end of the stand near the main stand. He told me it was rather scary and that all he could see in the Millwall end was men with little boys with skin heads...no women at all.
Can anyone else remember this game??

Think its pretty sad myself. Fucking gormless wankers beating the shit out of each other, lets hope no innocent people get caught up in it. No doubt it'll go down as legendary amongst the morons and wannabe danny dyers.

Never seen anything like that game. I was in the north stand and beforehand, where you would normally have stewards, there were police with full riot gear surrounding them. Can't remember when exactly it kicked off, but they were fighting with each other and with the police. I remember the police making an announcement praising the city fans whilst the match carried on and there was a massive fight at the other end of the stand. Bizarre.
Donal McIntyre went to the game when undercover with some Chelsea fans and basically it was a load of cockernee hooligans on a day trip. They had the first fight at Stockport station, I think, with some rags going to Forest.
It was a good day though - we won and they went home wearing a truncheon as a hat. Tossers

i'm not. i also do not tolerate football violence at grounds or in towns. but if they want to fight, they can arrange meeting somwhere in the woods and go ahead. they can even kill each other.
besides, english football hooliganism had always been a part of football culture in this country and i just want to learn something about it.
also could anybody tell me why 'ultras' movement (flags, presentations, settings etc.) virtually do not exist in english football?
thx
