The formation and decision to pack the midfield and bench Aguero was both tactical and worked up until the many mistakes that littered the match. Aguero is our top scorer and no one else looks close enough to scoring regularly. I think he's still carrying a slight injury as it was mentioned when he was on international duty. He's never put in a shift like Pep would want so he's got to adapt - we need to give players time to adapt, they had very little pre season with Pep so it will all be a work in progress

it's not a matter of being thrown on the scrap heap. it's the fact that he doesn't fit with our style of play and (imo) likely never will. he has decent market value now. in a another year or two? we tend to hold on to players too long, like yaya...

He doesn't fit our style of play? What similar quality striker does? Yes we could sell now and get the cash. But it's finding a replacement, when really it's not necessary. He will hit form again in this team.
