With all due respect if you are 27 you have never known the dippers be successful and the smugness they brought with it. You didn't see them rampaging through Europe in the '80s culminating in the Heysel tragedy. The sense of entitlement that goes with everything they do. I am not suggesting the rags are paragons of virtue. They are not. But for me and it seems a lot of other City fans, it is not as cut and dried as you suggest

A negative post but I personally detest Liverpool and their fans and the pundits that suck up to them. When we got beat 3-2 at Anfield a couple of seasons ago, their fans' behaviour was nothing short of disgusting....apart from the stoning of our fan coaches prior to the game, they booed every time we touched the ball throughout the match.This is after we had impeccably observed the memorial for the 98. Pellegrini sbook every Liverpool players hand as they left the pitch...what a sporting gesture that was. From that day on I have hoped they lose every match.

Then came the pundits all assuming winning the title was academic and some of the disrespectful bile that came out of their mouths was highly offensive to me. I had a conversation with my brother the other day...unfortunately a Liverpool fan, and these words left his lips "I don't like the cut of Pep's jib and I think City will be out of the top four", and then went on to wax lyrical about Klopp.

I am not from Manchester so I don't fully understand the tribal bit !! I live in Swansea and the antipathy shown towards Cardiff fans is staggering.

Well, I've been watching football for more decades than I care to admit to, and in all those years I've never heard a team being booed for every bit of possession for 90 mins.
Yes, individual players...Raheem springs to mind, Nasri every time we played Arsenal, and lots of others over the years....but in my humble opinion, that behaviour speaks volumes about the type of fan that supports Liverpool, arrogant, deluded fuckwits.

My big gripe with Liverpool is they never got the job done when they were in the title race, yet I always wanted them to pip the scum each year. I knew we weren't gonna win the league and hoped they would stop united.
