At the moment he seems very detached from us, and the club to be honest, and comes across as a little boxed off with the coaching role. I'm sure that in time it will come though, and that's when Pep will gain City fans faith.
The detached bit I do get that, however he is Catalan and they take a little getting used too. This is serious biz for him and he will not be sleeping after some of the self inflicted draws and defeats, he has seen, rightly we should have 15 points more, that will be driving him nuts, us we have to let our man do it as no other fucker will they will snipe and unbalance us if they are allowed too. Beefy every blue should get the book on him it will give you a picture of his desire to be the best every day and better the next day.
I don't think I need his book to get him, I understand him already. From his previous at Barca and Munich to his current on the line or in interviews. He's got plenty of time for me but as he says himself, results dictate a managers timeline, not tactics, projects or his reputation. He is a passionate bloke whose mind never stops but, and it's a big but, if he doesn't get those results nothing can follow.
We know that he can set-up correctly in this league, our first lot of results proved that. It was only when HE thought that he would start to inculcate his own view of the game on the players where it started going wrong. We all get it, he wants that system to work and it probably could, but we are not far enough down the line, as yet. If we persist it may come good but from what we've seen so far it's doomed to failure.
Another thing that has to be taken into account is the media pressure building. The fuckers didn't want him at City and even though they respect the manager, they wanted to see him elsewhere in the Sky 4. They've given him a hard time already and aren't interested in his tactics or formations, they're after a story and if they don't get it, they'll make one to suit. You know the script.
Only the other day on route back from the continent I had the misfortune to tune into TalkSport and the one and only Jim White. He was incensed that Pep wouldn't answer a question directly regarding if Aguero was sorry about his challenge on Luiz. The total disrespect he was showing, angrily stating that they have a right to an answer, even took me back as I've never heard such displeasure against another manager; it seemed so out of kilter to what we perceive Pep coming across as. I see it as him protecting his player, Jim White perceived it as our manager disrespecting the cockroaches. And let's not forget, this so called independent reporter is an anchor at Sky Sports so you just know that he won't just be spoutingbthat vile shit to the white van man but all and sundry. He has a loud voice.
And we all know how the press in Spain got to him, he looked a dishevelled man after finishing there and even took a lot when in Germany. They do say a genius mind is sometimes fragile, I'm just hoping he turns it around quickly and gets on the front foot with these cunts.
