Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

German scorers for City

Postby PaulieIrish » Sun Dec 18, 2016 10:39 pm

So BBC website reports that Sane is the sixth German to score a premier league goal for city, more than any other club has provided.

So who are the other five?

Gaudino scored a few in 1994-5 season; Steffen Karl scored one v Southampton in 1993-4 season. I'm not convinced Hamann got a PL goal.

The only goal Didi got for City was in the UEFA Cup.

Yes, in a 1-1 draw at Southampton, I believe.

It was a one nil win away

I was there, with my lad then aged 9. In that very dangerous wooden stand up[stairs just next to the narrow away end at the Dell. Took us about 15 minutes to get out, Christ knows if there had been a fire.

Just could not believe it when we won away. First in living memory. Mind you he was a shit player

Another shit player, flattered to decieve. Had to leave to concentrate on his luxury car business I recall?

How many did Tarnat actually score for us?

I am finding different numbers on data sites.

I really liked him, I was amazed at that time we managed to sign him.

Ah, thank you Johnno. The old brain cells aren't what they used to be, you know. It was when Uwe scored at QPR that was a 1-1 draw, wasn't it.

Ah, the happy days, when an away win was a once a season event.

Four goals in total.

Against Blackburn(that FK), Villa and Leicester in the league, against the filth in the 4-2 cup loss.
