80m bid for costa with a package of 30m a year in wages.
Costa has since basically gone on strike in the last three days in order to push the move through.
This is getting serious.
But will it be good or bad news for city?

How is it Chelsea always come up trumps when selling players. Knowing our record for moving on players City will prob be the only team to lose a player to China on a loan and end up paying their wages for the next few years.

But what will it mean for the rest of the big clubs if he goes?

It means most players coming to the twilight years of their careers will go , and to be honest , who the fuck can blame them with all that money being thrown their way.Its a job for most players , they play/work for money like we all do so maybe now or the very near future, for a period of time, (if China go berserk and try to sign all and sundry) we might see more and more youth getting a break to play quicker in their teams than they normally would do.
I still think that China will go the same way the USA went in the early years when they also threw silly money at the top players from our league - it all came to an end eventually.

Shelve that comment with the City owners getting bored and packing up one.
They want to win a World Cup. This is part of their plan. They don't back down on their plans.

This.
When you think of the engineering projects they are currently undertaking and the efforts and the cost of these (the Spratley islands for example), football just represents a different challenge to overcome and the money will be made available to address this.
As you say, "they don't back down on their plans".
