I honestly don't think Griezemann would be good in the Prem. I'd be happy if they got him. Similar to Falcao in my opinion when he came over here.

Chelsea are top and favourites to win by a decent margin...and now one of their most important players is on strike and may be off?!?
Isn't this unprecedented? (If true)

So you grap every single penny you can. I never blame any professional going after money. Loyalty is for supporters.
HOWEVER it's STILL football and it's their competitiveness that got them where they are. If, as is the case with Costa, they can get ALMOST as much money and still play truly competitive football I would always choose the competition.

I think that investment last year my have something to do with it.
Regarding Costa, if he goes it will be a huge blow for them. And they might make a panic buy.

What says a lot is Costa's reaction to this, willing to lose his team mates when they are riding high on a wave.

Who says it's the Rags Beefy. Who's done business with the Chinese government recently.
Maybe, just maybe The Empire strikes back.

I dont know what Costa is on but let's say, for instance, that he's getting £100 grand a week which equates to approx £5 mil a year. By the reports he's now been offered 6 years wages for one year's work and if a 3 year contract, 18 years (a near full career) earnings in 3.
Competition? Fuck that, this is a life changing event, for him and his next generations.

All the people I know who've done business in China, all say the exact same thing which is....
It's not case of if they fuck you over, just a case of when!

Can understand why a player wants to go as they see the £signs and £600k a WEEK is crazy money. But will a three or four year contract be honoured? Big question mark over that I reckon. As John@staustell pointed out as well, how much money does one guy really need? Is £5/6/7m a year in England not enough?
