Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Courtesy of the tabloids;
Referee Mike Dean has been demoted to the Championship following a torrent of criticism over his recent performances.
The 48-year-old will be in the middle for the Yorkshire derby between Barnsley and Leeds at Oakwell on Saturday evening.
Dean endured a testing Christmas period, including his controversial sending off of West Ham platyer Sofiane Feghouli against Manchester United, which was later rescinded.

good. he's the 2nd worst ref in terms of wanting to make it all about him, behind the legendary Clattenburg.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

I don't get it, Dean has done the FA Cup for Sours V Villa and a PL game for Sunderland V Stoke, and I don't remember a big fuss in them games.
We all know it's not about making mistakes, just look at Taylor, so why get demoted 3 games later?
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Absolutely. All utter twats, but Mason is one of the worst.
It's a rating of 1-10 though for me, and they are all on negative numbers, so it's all relative.

Maybe the City hierarchy have voiced their concerns to Mike Riley and they are paying us lip service by seeming to do something about it, when in reality it will be just another ref who takes his turn in dry bumming us.

I think there are many worse than him?
For me Dean was okish. Yeah, he did a lot of mistakes in the past two years, but I remember we did not have huge problems with him. The reason why I might tolerate him is because he was at that QPR game.
As it was said above, there are many above who are worse: Clattenburg which is promoted by everyone at the moment, no idea why. Oliver, who can forget his performance in 2014 with filth, 1-0, when he refused us 4 clear penners?
The list goes one: Jones, Taylor, Mason, etc.
I really can't think there is anyone decent out there.
A bit curious, but how much does a Prem ref gets for a game from the FA?

I've heard they are on 80k a year.
Seen Mason the other week in a 66 plate Mercedes so they are on decent money.............or did he pay for it from the brown envelopes he's received

Wow, that is really low. In Romania they get about 40k.
I am shocked to be honest.

think 80k is the basic
they will then get match fees on top
plus then the ones that are on the fifa list will pick up a fee for european and international games
someone like clattenburg is probably picking up 150k+
