I've booked now anyway Doug. Unless it's a home game on the Tuesday before the Monaco game, it'll be no use to me.
Would love if there was one though. I'd love to see an academy game. My young lad would love to see inside the academy, as well.

Even if there is a game you wouldn't see much of the academy apart from the stadium itself. That is unless you write to the club for a special look around for a special visiting fan like yourself.

If I thought it would work I'd give it a go, but I suspect you are messing with me.

Not at all. Doug is as honest as the day is long and you can be granted access to watch a game if you go through the club first.

I'm not doubting Doug's integrity at all. Just wondering if it is possible to just contact the club to get into the academy for a 'special look around',
when there isn't a game on. Hardly. I'd have thought they'd be getting requests like that every day otherwise.
Do you really think it's worth a try?
I suppose nothing ventured nothing gained. I''l be around all day anyway. getting in very early this time. Last season I barely made it for kick-off for the Real game.

Nothing ventured as you said. Make the contact, lay it on a bit and you never know.I expect they would suggest the regular club tour which migth include the CFA as part of it.That way you would have to pay for it :)

Looked up the tour. There's a special Brazilian theme on from the 18th to the 26th but it doesn't include the Academy.
Might do it anyway if the young lad fancies it. We did it years ago but it has changed a bit.

I'll give it a go Doug. Like you say, lay it on thick. You never know.

I've always had hopes that the Humphries/Adarabioyo partnership, in central defence, would mature and be able to continue into the first team, to constitute our centre back pairing for ten years, or more.

Defensively a shambles most of the time and attacking wise we have players who just give the ball away far too quickly and easily with Nmecha leading the way on that.

It seems to me we have a team picked for attacking but with limited organisation to defend so when we are not getting it right on arrack we can look so so vulnerable. happy to be on level terms.

Only caught the last 15 mins of first half.
Agree with above. We look very messy. Being muscled out of the ball very easily also.
Hope for better second half.

There is a total lack of team structure in my opinion. There is no pass move support.
It's just being given to midfield and leaving them to beat their man or men.
No support.
Sancho looks lost.
Diaz can't get into it.
They look sharper, stronger and more organised.

Grimshaw playing well.
Kongolo putting in a shift but it's all very random at the moment.

I hope they are a year or so older. We are being outclassed here and if it is to an older side there's no disgrace in that
