tbh i'm scared to death about this one. on the upside, ive found a new person to hate:
According to Southampton manager Claude Puel -- who spent 24 years at Monaco as a player and coach -- City boss Pep Guardiola's possession-based tactics could prove his side's undoing at the Stade Louis II.
"It's in that team's interest to have the ball," he told L'Equipe. "[Yaya] Toure, [David] Silva and [Kevin] De Bruyne in midfield are super players, but winning back the ball is not their best quality. It's a risky team selection, Guardiola accepts that, but it means they have to have the ball.
"They're a team that's not at ease when you press them. I think the competition for places among the goalkeepers means Willy Caballero isn't calm. There too, Guardiola wants to bring the ball out cleanly from the back come what may, but you sense that it's possible to intercept by pressing them in their half of the pitch."
Puel added: "I see Monaco going through. A two-goal deficit isn't as big as all that for them. It's really doable."

Yeah it's doable. But I fancy it'll be 3 or 4 one to us

Why ? so he can injure himself like he did the last time at a huge CL match and fuck our rhythm up ???
No fucking thank you !!!
Our defense hasn't been shit lately , id stick to the formula we already have.

10 min cameo to sure up a win is the MOST I want to see of Kompany. I'd end up strangling someone if we had to make a 1st half sub for him again.

Nervous as hell.
Should win but it doesn't always work like that.
I hope the team don't over commit. Let the front boys do their thing and shield the defence.

Not in a million years will it be goalless ....as long as we score 1 goal then I think we would have done enough but I think we will score at least 2.

As would I, although if we're going to draw, I'd much prefer something like 5-5 just to further implement our glowing and growing reputation of being the great entertainers.
If, world-wide, we were regarded in such a light, the British media's opinion that we've ruined football would look even more completely ridiculous than it already is.

You know full well Mik, all they'd say is that both defenses were s shambles and there's no way we'll win anything with that back four.

And it's that very attitude that is ruining football if anything is. Lauding managers that take a cynical approach to the game just because they get the results is bad for the game as it encourages others to emulate that anti-football and ruins it as a spectacle.

More excited and nervous about the dipper game on Sunday tbh. I will, like all Blues, be cheering us on tonight but I doubt the disappointment I felt after the Stoke defeat will be there tonight if we go out.
I just can't get excited about the CL in the same way as the PL. Silly, I know, but it is what it is

I can see what your saying mate as I thought yeh Champions League was the most corrupt thing in football.......but after the decisions in the Prem this season I realise it's just as bad!
I think there is only one winner tonight and that's the ref!! Wonder how long it will take him to influence the game!!

if you gave me a choice between going through tonight and smashing the dippers this weekend, i'd prob take the latter. absolutely detest that lot.
