How does David continually score for Spain but cannot for us?

Ouch! Red card offence or accidental?
Both. Red card for a terrible tackle but I don't think it was malicious. Just a desperate attempt to get the ball.

no replays on grounds of taste, looked a really bad tackle but not as bad as Bale's on O'Shea a few moments before - he got a yellow for that, should have been red. Other way round and Mad Dog Keane would have been applauding on the touchline.

Reckless and out of control. Definitely snapped his leg.
Hope he recovers to play again.
Edit: expect a ban for sterling.
Or at least a yellow card for or penalty against!

I really feel for Coleman. I liked him, always wanted us to sign him.
Are the official news that bad? Is it really broken or there might be a small chance it was just a bad knock?

It's more of a compound fracture than a knock. Terrible for the lad.

I keep hearing he's not that type of player. My eyes must have deceived me, he looked exactly that type of player.

It was idiotic and reckless. Taylor was in tears afterwards according to Shane Long. To be fair he's only been sent off once before in his career to date.
I thought Bale's was every bit as bad if not worse, O'Shea was lucky his studs weren't in the turf.

According to reports he's expected to be OK for Arsenal, back in Manchester now resting up, fingers crossed it turns out to be a blessing that he gets this rest.

That sounds encouraging. Yes, the break may do him good.

Have to wonder after this, what protection clubs have from FIFA, UEFA and local FA all around the world when they send their players and they come back with their career almost fucked?
In the past years we suffered a shitload of injuries in these international breaks and for what?

KDB is sat on the sidelines watching Belgium. Defo not back in Manchester.

Shame for Coleman - always seemed a decent lad and a good player - will be hard to get back to a high level at age 28 after that.

Yet pull one out of the bag at the end to keep them top of the group. Good take though.
