Dippers finally manage to crawl into the CL places and their ambition is a washed up player not now good enough at that level. Hilarious

Can we not tempt them with Bony as well?

Inspired move by Liverpool. It frees up James Milner, one of their most important players, to switch to his preferred position at, err... right back, was it? Left wing? Anywhere a hole needs to be plugged?

Fern 2 must go. He is simply not good enough for the Prem, never mind a top side. Absolute fucking rubbish.

Yaya must stay. We are still nowhere near replacing him and it was one of Guariola's big mistakes to ostracise him. Costly.

Bullshit. Guardiola's handling of Yaya this season was nothing short of masterful. He's revitalised him as a player and got him and his agent in hand.

Apparently Enes Ünal to Villareal is a done deal, £12m with a £17m buyback clause. Decent if true.

Don't agree - other young strikers with similar tallies are going for over 50 mill

Sebastien Haller (13 goals) cost Eintracht Frankfurt £6m. Not sure if any other young strikers with a similar tally in the Eredivisie are moving clubs.

Also, it's mostly a good deal because the buyback is cheap as chips if he continues smashing it in La Liga.

I agree with you Guy. I thought that was one thing that Pep definitely got right. His handling of Seluk in particular.
Yaya looks leaner and meaner than ever. I had him totally written off, but with the change in attitude am more than happy to see him stay.

I fear those tinted glasses may have had an adverse effect, Yaya's welcome renaissance would not have happened if Gundogan hadn't been crocked, although credit is still due as you say.

Who? That Brazilian player to Real Madrid?

This is the Eredivisie. Very hit and miss with those that score there moving onto higher level leagues.

This is a very good piece of business. He hasn't even played one game for us, we are making a £10m profit and can get him back if he proves himself in a top league like Spain.

Comparing Mbappe and Unal is a but mad. Mbappe is one of the world's most sought after players. He's shown far more at CL level, as others have alluded to, and the French league may be lower, but it's not as poor as the Eredivisie and has a much better recent track record for its best players translating into success elsewhere.

I agree as well - have any of us heard Yaya's agent putting in his 2 pence worth in the form of media sound bites over a possible contract extension lately like he would have done last season and any season previously? No? Why's that then? (Pep's handling of Yaya is why)

How unfair of you NB.

That's a scathing, withering and highly dismissive claim...........

.......it's also absolutely spot on and I love it.

Keep up the good work NB; more of the same please.

Apparently Fabinho is now off to the rags. If that's the case, he can fuck off. Sadly, he looks a great player and he was the rumoured signings I was most excited about

This time of the year, Seluk would normally have been busy slagging City for making Yaya work down the mines for no pay, and not wishing him a happy Christmas.
Pep did a brilliant job there!

Yaya came back before Gundogan got injured.

Tbf they were actually playing together at the time of the injury but that was because because of Fernandinho's suspension. There is no way Yaya would have been picked ahead of a fit Gundogan but his rehabilitation was timely and Pep deserves credit.
